Sohee drags me out as I try to swallow my pout. We walk together to the dining table as I took a seat beside her. Mom and Sunyoung sat opposite us and at the head of the table was Dad. He gets up to give me a hug, before sitting back down.
"Sunwoo told us that your parents live in America, so we prepared some home-cooked meals for you," Mom shares.
I turn my head and see Sohee absolutely admiring the food prepared.
"I wasn't sure what you wanted or usually ate so I made everything that we would usually eat for Seollal-," Mom rambles on nervously.
"Honey, calm down," Dad comments jokingly, holding onto Mom's hand.
Sunyoung and I let out a soft chuckle as Sohee starts to speak again.
"I really appreciate it Auntie. This means so much to me. Thank you," Sohee thanks and you can just hear the sincerity in her voice.
"Well! What're we waiting for? Let's eat," Sunyoung says, leveling her chopsticks in her hands as she quickly reaches over for the spinach.
Sohee picks up hers and as I reach over to grab the meat, I watch as Sohee waits for us to take our servings first. I take a few slices and place it on her side plate.
"Here," I say softly.
She smiles, letting on a choked laugh, thanking me for my gesture. I turn back to the meat plate, and it just so happens to be placed in front of my sister. I take a few more pieces and meet my sister's eyes.
'You fell hard. Even harder than anytime you fell in soccer,' her eyes said.
My eyes slim into a thin line as I mocked her. After a few more minutes, Sohee starts to get more comfortable, and she starts to take the food herself. I smile at her happily and she notices. She freezes for a minute and I mouth a 'just eat' to her. She smiles back and continues to take her food.

"So how did you two meet?" Dad asks, halfway through the meal.
"At Cre.ker Entertainment. I came in as an intern for music producing when Sunwoo was about to debut," Sohee shared.
"She was the one who composed Boy," I add.
"Yeah, then I guess, after that, we just got closer," Sohee continues.
Mom hums happily, hearing Sohee and my story.
"I also assume you're not korean-born?" Dad asks.
"No, not exactly. My parents both are Korean, but I was born and raised in America. Until I was about 12, my brother got casted on Kpop Star and that was when I followed him here," Sohee shares.
"So you've been living by yourself for almost 10 years?" Sunyoung asked, and Sohee nods. "Wah, Daebak," she lets out amazed.
"It's fun, yes, but some things like cleaning the house, is slightly tedious," Sohee shares.
