I woke up the next day to the sun leaking through my windows

I woke up the next day to the sun leaking through my windows. I turn and let out a groan. That was when I noticed the girl laying down beside me. Mom thought it was great idea for Sohee and I to sleep together. Careful to not wake up the girl, I wrap an arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me. The shifting made the girl stir as she turned around to bury her head in my chest. She straightened her legs and I continued to softly pull her towards me.

She was in one of my hoodies, which, due to the size difference, exposed some of her bare waist. Seizing the opportunity, my hand on her waist found it's way underneath the hoodie; and still, the girl didn't wake up.

Getting bored now, I start to graze the end of my nails softly on her lower back. Only then, did I notice her eyes slowly fluttering open. One of her hands reach back to stop my hand from moving anymore, her head tilting up to look at me.

"Good morning," she greets.

"Good morning," I greet back, smiling.

"Now what do I have to do to get some sleep around you," Sohee asks sarcastically.

I realise that I've always woke up earlier than her; heh and the members say I sleep a lot hmph.

"Why sleep when you have me here," I counterpoint.

The girl rolls her eyes, but she knows the answer to the statement. I slide my other arm around the bottom of her waist, locking my hands around her waist, pulling her closer so that we were cuddling.

"I like waking up to you," I say out of the blue.

"I do too," she replies.

I feel a blush creeping onto my cheeks and it's the same for Sohee. I give her a small peck on her forehead, and she's quick to bury her head in my torso again, eyes shut tight and a smile on her lips.

Just then, my door swung open, making Sohee and I jump from the sudden intrusion.

"Oppa, get up. Mom wants you to accompany her to the market. She's planning to cook something special for dinner before you leave us tomorrow for an infinite amount of time again," Sunyoung says, tone dropping.

"I don't leave for an 'infinite amount of time'," I correct.

"The last you came was in 2019. It's 2021..." Sunyoung pointed out and I mumbles a complaint into my pillow.

"Can I follow?" Sohee asks suddenly.

I can see the way Sunyoung's expression changes, eyes going wide.

"Yeah, of course!" Sunyoung replies nicer and I grumble again. "Now, hurry and get ready. Mom's leaving in an hour," she continues before leaving.

"You can go get ready first. I have some school work I need to finish," Sohee suggested, and I get up.

I walk over to grab my towel and clothes. I slowly push the door fully open, attaching it to the magnetic stopper attached to the wall. Just as I was about to leave, I track back to place a kiss on the girl's lips, and she kisses back.

"Woo-" Sohee say, when I pull away.

"I need my morning kiss," I say.

"You always do," she mumbles, and I could hear it.

"What was that?"

"Nothing," she was quick defend herself.

I was wearing my shoes when Sohee was helping Mom to lift the trolley that she was going to bring around at the market.

"Oh! Thank you sweetie," Mom thanks her.

"No problem!" Sohee replies back, smiling.

I get up from where I sat to take the trolley from Sohee, walking out of the house with it. Sohee slips on her shoes before helping Mom up from where she sat.

It was nice to see Mom and Sohee gettting along well, and I couldn't help but smile at the sight. Mom wished Sunyoung and Dad a goodbye before we left the house together. She closed the door behind her, making sure that it was locked before resting her heart to go to the market.

We all go down to the parking lot, Mom holding out the key to unlock the car door.

"You should sit in front with your Mom. Y'know, some mother-son bonding time," Sohee suggests and I nod.

All of us hop into the car and get started on heading to the market.

"So, what are you making today, Mom?" I ask.

"My world-class beef stew!" Mom exclaims excitedly.

I think my jaw dropped and so did Sohee's too; clearly as the lady lets out a soft chuckle.

"Also, thank you, Sohee-ah, for following! Girl company means well to me," Mom continues.

"It's no problem! I used to accompany my Mom to the market in America, so it'll be a nostalgic experience for me," Sohee shares.

We reach the market and it's just Sohee and I tagging behind Mom as she runs around the market collecting all the ingredients for the stew. Mom bargains at the prices here and there but it's all wrapped up in an hour or so.

At night, dinner goes by smoothly. After which, and after clearing up everything, I went back to my room to see Sohee when I caught her actually working on her laptop.

"Are you working? Like right now?" I asked, closing my door behind me.

"What to do. Your marketing team needs improvements done on your Breaking Dawn album by Monday so that they can plan for your promotion period in March," Sohee whines lightly as her hand continues to move across her keyboard.

I let out a huff, laying down beside the girl. Work. It never stops, for anything. It's a little bit like that one line "Evil doesn't stop for anyone". I lay down and stare at the girl's laptop as she scans the audio again for any errors. Halfway, her hand raises to mess with my hair to give me some attention.

"I wanna take you somewhere tomorrow," I share.

"Oh? Where?" the girl asks, curious.

"You'll see," I reply simply, quickly closing the conversation.
