Gregory was still asleep when Freddy powered on. He would always do so before the boy woke up, as his self-appointed duty of protecting Gregory kept him from being powered down for as long as the boy slept. That way, Freddy'd ensure the kid's safety as he slept. Reaching over towards Gregory, Freddy went to adjust the blanket over his shoulders. He'd let the boy sleep in today, as he was going to start his 'job' that afternoon. It was important for him to be well-rested.
As Freddy pulled up on the blanket, his body suddenly froze involuntarily. There was a small glitch in his vision for a moment, and once it cleared up, he was suddenly holding Gregory's blanket—leaving the boy with nothing but the pillow beneath his head. Quickly, the bear replaced the blanket while trying not to accidentally wake the boy in the process. After, he put his hands in his lap. That was... odd. Freddy closed his yellow eyes and quietly ran a system check.

The morning was over, and Gregory was putting his garbage from lunch in a nearby trash can in the park. "Are you ready to go to the festival grounds, Gregory?" Freddy asked him, as the boy turned to look at him. "Yep!" Gregory chirped, before adjusting the straps of his backpack. Then, he walked right up to Freddy and held his arms up. Chuckling a little, the tall bear knelt down to let Gregory climb onto his back. "Hang on tight, superstar!"
"Don't worry, I am!" Gregory assured him, wrapping his arm's around Freddy's neck, as the bear held onto the boy's legs. "We're off, then!" The bear began walking back to the main street that all had all the festival preparations. Things looked to really be coming together. More vendors had shown up, some of which had carnival-esk games to set up for guests, while others had food stands. Some of the food and beverage stands were up and running for the festival workers.
Arriving, Freddy knelt back down so Gregory could get off. Just as he did, Mrs. Jones spotted the two. "Hello, Gregory!" She greeted with a smile. "Hello, Mrs. Jones. I'm ready to get to work!" Mrs. Jones chuckled a little. "I'm glad to see." She looked to Freddy. "And, what about your friend?" She wondered. Before Gregory could give an answer, the bear replied, "I will just sit down nearby until it is time to bring Gregory home, Mrs. Jones."
"I see." She answered shortly. Then, thrumming her fingers on her clipboard, Renee looked down to Gregory. "Alrighty, come with me. Let's see if we can find you something to do." Gregory smirked, and before going off with Mrs. Jones, he shrugged off his backpack for Freddy to keep. Gregory followed after Renee after waving to Freddy. The bear did the same, before sitting on a nearby bench.

Some time had passed, and Gregory was doing great with his gopher job. When he'd been appointed to be the gopher, at first, Gregory didn't know what Mrs. Jones meant. She'd explained that the gopher was someone who went around fetching things for people. For example, people can ask him, "Hey Gregory, go for this, or go for that!" That was a gopher. Gregory thought it was a funny play on words.
"Here's an empty crate for you, Mr. Collins!" Gregory told, handing the wooden crate to the older man. He grumbled something under his breath, taking it from the boy. Glancing off, Mr. Collins then said, "Where'd yer robot wander off to?" Gregory blinked, and glanced to the bench. Freddy was gone. "U-Um... I'm not sure."
"He better not end up back at my jam display while I go to the washroom." Looking back to Gregory, Mr. Collins suddenly told, "Boy, I'm letting you watch my stand until I get back." Gregory gave a nod. Mr. Collins grumbled again, before walking off. As soon as he did, Gregory instantly looked to his Fazwatch—the thing still worked well, but he just hadn't used it much since leaving the Pizzaplex, as he was always with Freddy. "Psst! Freddy!"
