"Huh?" Gregory looked up to Bill. "Why would it say that?" Bill shrugged and shook his head a little. "That's just what they told me, kid." With a puzzled expression, Freddy looked over to Gregory. "... Gregory, did you run away from home?" He wondered. "Is that why you were at the Pizzaplex?" Gregory quickly looked over to the animatronic, with almost a look of offense on his face. "No! I didn't...!" His gaze fell. "I don't have a home..."

"Y'know, Greg," Kurtis began, sympathy in his tone. "It'd help if you told us what your story is, then we'd be able to help you." Gregory said nothing, his gaze remaining fixated on his lap. "Please?" He pressed, even Freddy adding with, "We won't be upset with you, superstar." Still no answer, Gregory seeming to want to dig in his heels. Bill sighed a little. "It's fine, we can talk about that some other time."

Dropping the subject for now, Bill looked to the other papers in his hand he'd brought with him. Looking to his nephew, he then asked, "Could you step out with me for a minute?" Kurtis nodded, standing up to go join his uncle on the porch—leaving Gregory and Freddy alone.

The sun was almost finished setting. The horizon had a small, orange hue that was now almost completely hidden by the tree line. Stars dotted the night sky, and were much easily visible to those in the small down, than people in the neighboring city. In trying to find a way to help Gregory unwind for the night, Freddy had suggested star gazing. The boy agreed, and so with the help of the bear, the two found themselves sitting on top of the van for an optimal view of the sky. "The stars are very beautiful!"

"Yeah." Gregory hummed, with less enthusiasm than Freddy. Stars were one of those things the boy tended to take for granted, whereas the animatronic found them wonderful. Much better than the artificial glow-in-the-dark stars that could be seen in the Pizzaplex's Daycare whenever the lights were dimmed. "Do you like the stars, Gregory?"

"Sure," The boy answered with a shrug. "They're cool, I guess." Freddy looked down to him, noticing Gregory still had a distant look in his chocolate brown eyes. Trying to keep the conversation going, Freddy continued with, "They are nothing like the stars in the Daycare, that's for sure!" Gregory blinked, the comment piquing his curiosity. "There's stars in the Daycare?"

"Artificial ones that glow in the dark. They are all over the Daycare's ceiling." Freddy answered. "Judging by your question, I will guess you didn't spot them?" Gregory shook his head 'no'. "I was too busy dodging the Daycare Attendant to notice." He told the bear. "Oh... right." Freddy quietly said.

Taking a quick glance at the clock in his HUD, the bear noticed the time. Just some minutes more before Gregory would be tucked into bed once again. "Gregory, may I ask you something?" Gregory gave a short, hesitant nod. "Would you tell me about how you got to the Pizzaplex?" Freddy asked, adding with, "I would understand if you weren't comfortable sharing that with Kurtis and Bill earlier, so I would just like to know if you'd tell me now."

"Um..." Gregory didn't really give much of a reply. He simply continued staring at the sky with a pondering look. As though he were deciding in his mind whether or not to answer the question. "I don't know..." He confessed. With some caution, Freddy gently picked Gregory up and sat him on his lap, wrapping his arms around the boy in a hug. "You know you will not have any judgement from me, don't you?"

"Yeah... I know." Gregory mumbled, leaning his head against the bear's chest. "It's just..." He hesitated again. Adjusting Gregory's sweater without a thought, Freddy lightly pressed with, "Just 'what', superstar?" The boy shrugged. "Just 'complicated', maybe?" Gregory nodded at the assumption. "Really complicated..." He answered. "I see."

"I'll tell you... eventually." Gregory then said, feeling as though it were something the bear were entitled to know. "It is okay if you don't want to, either." Freddy said in return. "All I want is to keep you protected, and you telling me about your history is something you owe me. Okay?" Gregory looked up to the bear, the glow of Freddy's yellow eyes almost came off as though he were looking into a flashlight. He squinted a little, and nodded. "Okay."

"Good." Freddy checked the time again. As he was about to speak again, Gregory suddenly yawned. "I think it is time for bed, superstar." Gregory gave a small nod, surprisingly agreeing. "Yeah... okay."
