"This thing runs pretty good." Kurtis complimented, as he drove the van along the road he usually took to head home. "... Where'd you two get it from." Looking out the passenger side window, Gregory gave a shrug. "It um... was abandoned. Nobody was looking for it, so..." With a half nod, Kurtis hummed. "I see."
"So, how long have you and the 'bot been out on your own?" The boy's eyes narrowed a little in thought, as he'd begun to lost count of how long it had been. "Um... a month? I think?" Kurtis' eyes widened a little bit. "That's a long time for just a kid." He commented. "It's not like I was all by myself, I have Freddy!" At the mention of the bear, Kurtis took a brief glance to the mirror attached to the ceiling of the vehicle—between himself and Gregory. The man glanced to the still deactivated animatronic in the back. "Yeah, but still."
As the drive continued, Gregory suddenly let out a small gasp. "What?" Gregory leaned in closer to get a better view with from the side mirror. "Oh no...!" He quietly exclaimed, worry in his tone. "Gregory?" Quickly looking over to Kurtis, the boy asked, "Can you drive faster, please?" The man shot him a puzzled look. "Why?"
"There's another van following us!" Kurtis let out a small chuckle. "Kid, we aren't entitled to the road—of course there's other people driving." Gregory shook his head 'no'. "No! There's a van from the Pizzaplex following!" Brow arched, Kurtis briefly looked to his own side mirror. "Say... you think they could help out with Freddy?"
"No!" Gregory exclaimed, a look nearing on horror in his eyes. "They'll just take Freddy away, and then do who knows what with me!" Kurtis shot the boy a concerned look. "... Seriously?" Gregory nodded shakily. "Ah, jeez..." Sighing a little, Kurtis increased the pressure on the gas petal. "Make sure your seatbelt is tight, and hand on kid. I'm about to send these guys in circles." Sitting back in his seat, Gregory pulled on the seatbelt to get it to lock—ensuring it was tightened, just like Kurtis had said.

"I think they're speeding up." Drew commented, eyes narrowing as he kept his gaze locked with the van in front of them. "Well? Keep up, then!" Vanessa told, becoming agitated where she sat. "You can't lose them!" Drew laughed a little. "We're not even in any town, how am I supposed to lose them?" As he said that, the other van turned off the main road, onto a smaller road that led to the closest town. "Spoke too soon."
"I can see that. Turn!" Vanessa held onto the above head handlebar as Drew turned the company van, rather sharply at that. He then continued driving after the non-marked van. "Oh yeah, just so you know, if I get issued any kind of ticket-" Vanessa cut him off. "I will personally see that the company compensates you for it." She assured him, irritation in her tone. "All of it?"
"Yes, all of it." Vanessa said, a quiet huff sounding from her at the end of her sentence. "Good."

Gregory never stopped glancing back to the passenger side mirror the whole time Kurtis was driving. It seemed as though the van would never let up. The boy began nervously fiddling in his seat. "Man, these guys don't give up, do they?" Kurtis shook his head a little. "I think there's an alley I should be able to drive through to get them off my tail, but with this big thing I'm not too sure..."
"Can you try anyways?" Gregory pleaded, looking over to Kurtis. The man gave a nod, continuing to navigate through the small town. "If this doesn't work, then I'll try pulling up at my uncle's place." The boy blinked. "Uh, why?" Smirking, Kurtis explained, "My Uncle Bill's a sergeant with the police station." A smile slowly grew on Gregory's face. "Ah, yeah!" Kurtis chuckled.
More driving ensued, only now, Kurtis was beginning to put space between both their vehicle and the van following them. Once that happened, the door of opportunity opened to try hiding in the alleyway he'd mentioned. Pulling the front of the van to the entrance of the alley, Kurtis pressed the brake. "Nope, we're not going to fit."
"You think?" Kurtis shook his head 'no'. "I'll only end up scrapping the sides of the van on the walls—it's not worth that." Pulling back onto the street, Kurtis kept on driving. He took another glance to the mirror to see the other van still in tow. "Great. Looks like I'll be having to get my uncle to put in a word for me so I don't get ticketed for all the stop signs I'm running."
"Oh... sorry." Gregory mumbled, realizing how this was inconveniencing the guy. Kurtis shrugged, driving off to his uncle's house. "It's not trouble, don't worry."

"Uh, 'Ness, I think we're going too far now." Drew commented, seeing the other van pull into someone's driveway seemingly at random. "They're probably just trying to scare us off. Pull up." Hesitantly, the man pulled over in front of the property. Looking out her window, Vanessa watched as Gregory and some other random guy got out of the van—just as the guy who assumedly owned the house came outside. Opening her own door, Vanessa hopped out of the company van, Drew slowly doing the same.
"Excuse me?" Heads turned, as the blonde approached them. "Hi, sorry to bother you, but I was just coming to ask about retrieving something that belongs to my boss." She glanced at Gregory, the boy glaring daggers at her as he stood just behind Kurtis. "We'll be on our way right after." The older of the two men looked at her with a thoughtful glance for all of a brief moment, before shaking his head 'no'. "I'm afraid you'll have to leave, ma'am."
"I'm sorry?" The man approached her. "Please step off my property." Vanessa blinked. "I just need something that kid took from me, I'm not looking for any trouble." At that, the guy laughed a little in disbelief. "What'd the boy do, steal a piece of gum? Honestly, lady." Gregory was trying his hardest not to smirk or giggle. "No, he stole an animatro-"
"Look, I don't care what you think he did," The man interrupted. "But I want you to leave my property." Drew stayed back, not stepping onto the driveway like Vanessa had. He had a dubious look on his face. Vanessa crossed her arms. "Not without the animatronic." At the persistence, the man pulled out his shield from his pocket. "Either you can leave on your own, and I won't report you for tailing my nephew, or I'll have a few pals of mine escort you themselves. Which will it be?"
"You aren't serious?" The man raised an eyebrow, as if suggested that yes, he was. Vanessa shook her head and laughed a little. "Fine. Fine! I'm going." She shot one more glare Gregory's direction, before turning around. Pocketing his badge, the older man called out with, "Good day to you!" Drew said nothing as Vanessa angrily made her way back into the van, all the while the man quietly offered to help bring Freddy into his garage after the two had left.
"Thanks, mister!" Gregory quietly thanked, the older man giving a nod and a smile. "No problem, kiddo."
