It had been a bit of a chilly night while Gregory slept, the blanket being the only thing keeping the boy warm. So as to keep from anyone happening upon the two in the park during the night, Freddy had ended up gently moving Gregory to a more secluded park bench where he could continue sleeping. Thankfully, nothing transpired and Gregory had a full nights rest.

During most of the morning, Gregory complained that he was aching a bit from having slept on the park bench. Freddy continued to apologize, though felt awful that there wasn't any better sleeping arrangement for the poor boy. Gregory try telling the bear not to worry each time he apologized, as it had just been a passing comment.

For most of the day, the two simply wandered about, exploring the city. They had made it to the section of the city where the festival décor was no longer seen, but there were posters announcing the following week's events. Upon reading what all there was going to be at the festival, Gregory couldn't help but get excited about it. Freddy couldn't bring himself to possibly crush the boy's excitement, as all they had for money was around $40. That could easily be blown on half of the festival's activities. It was a shame, as it all did look like such fun.

"It sucks we won't really be able to do barely any of it." Gregory then lamented, kicking at a rock on the sidewalk as he continued to walk again. Freddy sighed a little, and was about to give a comment of reassurance, when a detail on the festival's poster caught his eye. Looking to the poster again, he noticed something. One of the main sponsors of the events. Fazbear Entertainment. Taking the posted, Freddy hastily foled it up and placed it in his chest cavity. "Perhaps we could find a way to earn money?"

"You think?" Gregory asked curiously, glancing up to the bear. Freddy gave a small nod. "I'm sure we could, superstar!" Gregory paused his stride for a moment, staring off in thought for a moment. The animatronic waited to see what the boy would say. Instead, Gregory's attention looked to have been grabbed by something off in the distance. "Superstar?"

"What's that?" The boy pointed. Down at the end of the sidewalk, there was a lesser main road going out of town. Practically parked in the ditch, was a van. It didn't look like anyone was occupying it. "It appears to be a van." Freddy stated what was clearly obvious. "Let's go check it out!" Freddy quickly looked back down to the boy. "I-I do not think that is a good idea, Gregory-"

"Oh come on, pleaaassseee?" Gregory all-but-begged. His chocolate brown eyes met Freddy's yellow ones, and the boy was somehow mustering 'puppy eyes'. Freddy wasn't even aware Gregory could do that. The bear simply kept his gaze locked with Gregory, unable to look away or say no. "I... do not..." The puppy eyes! "Fine! But only for a minute, Gregory. We do not know wh-"

"Great!" Gregory didn't even let his friend finish what he was saying, before he was already darting down the sidewalk. "Gregory! Wait for me!"

Gregory was stood up on a rock in the ditch to look into the passenger side window of the car for anything. Nobody was inside the van. "Looks abandoned to me!" Freddy's scans of the vehicle—using Roxanne's eyes—also indicated as much. "How strange." He commented, while walking around the vehicle. He then hear one of the door handles being pulled. "Gregory?"

"C'mon! Help me open it, Freddy!" The bear went up to where Gregory was, and as the boy let go of the handle, he grabbed it. Thanks to his significantly greater strength level, he was able to pull the unlocked door open. The moment he did, Gregory was climbing into the van. "Gregory, wait! You do not know what might be in there!"

"Woah! Look at it!" Gregory suddenly exclaimed, having crawled into the back. "What is it?" Climbing into the passenger seat—it was a tighter fit than the company van—Freddy looked into the back of the van. What he saw was rather surprising. There weren't any normal passenger seats, or even an empty space like one might expect to find in a van such as this. Instead, there was an interesting set up. A wooden frame was built against the door in the back, and on top was a small mattress with some blankets and pillows. There were curtains covering up the two, farthest back side windows, and one for the window of the unusable back door. There was also a small dresser placed up against the wall behind the driver's seat, along with extra space beneath the bed. "It's got everything in here!"

"I... can see that!" Freddy slowly commented. He'd never seen anything like this before. "I wonder if it works?" Gregory wondered, climbing out into the driver's seat. The keys were on the floor in front of the pedals. He reached down to pick them up. "Gregory, I do not think we should stay here. This vehicle might belong to somebody."

"Freddy, it doesn't look like anyone's stayed in here for some time. Don't you think?" The bear glanced about the van's interior once more. He did have a point. "And it's not like whoever drove this thing here crashed it and went for help. Nothing's broken." Freddy pondered for a moment. "I suppose that seems right."

"It's way better than sleeping on park benches, and, we'd be able to be less conspicuous!" Gregory continued, making his idea of keeping the van more plausible. Freddy pondered for a minute longer, weighing the pros and cons in his mind. After a moment, he looked to the boy, and gestured for him to start the car. "Okay, then. Go ahead. Start it."

"Aw yeah!" With that, Gregory turned the key in the ignition. The battery turned on, but the car's engine remained silent. "... What the?" The boy tried again. Still nothing. Freddy leaned over to check the gas gage. "It appears the tank is full of fuel. Perhaps a wire is loose?" He guessed. Gregory hummed, before he looked for the button that could pop the hood. "Maybe I can fix it?"

"Are you certain, Gregory?" The boy gave him a confident nod, before adding, "I upgraded you, didn't I?" Freddy was still a little skeptical. "Parts and Service had an automated machine to help you then, Gregory." Hopping out of the van after having popping the hood, Gregory called back with, "Yeah, but a loose wire is easier than re-attaching your head!"

"... You have a point." Freddy too got out—after taking the keys from the ignition—to ensure Gregory didn't hurt himself. Though, the bear still kept a small distance for safety reasons. He saw how Gregory struggled to see the engine, and so, Freddy moved the rock over that the boy had been standing on moments before for the boy to stand on again. That gave Gregory the height he needed to see what he was doing.

After a few minutes of watching Gregory's gaze scrutinize the engine, the boy finally said something. "Can you get the tools from the backpack, please?" With a nod, Freddy did as he was asked. He gave the small box of tools to Gregory. The bear stood back again, and watched as Gregory repaired the engine. The boy seemed to have quite the knack for things like this. It was quite impressive.

In not time at all, Gregory was done. Closing the hood, he went around to get back in the driver's seat. Replacing the keys in the ignition, the engine suddenly whirred to life. "It worked!" Gregory exclaimed. "Way to go, Superstar!"
