After having stepped out of the van, Freddy and Gregory met at the front. "So, now what?" The boy asked, hands stuffed in his pockets. "I am not quite sure." The animatronic confessed. He glanced to one of the few gas pumps, before looking to the gas station itself. "I suppose it should be me who goes to ask for fuel." Freddy speculated, adding with, "Afterall, it would be odd if it were you." Gregory gave a shrug and a half nod. "You're probably right-"

"Excuse me?" Both looked over to who had called out, and spotted a man in his late twenties approaching them. "Hi there." He greeted with a small nod. Gregory gave a small wave, as Freddy replied with, "Hello, sir." Stopping before the duo, the man then asked, "Need any help with anything?" He noticed as the two glanced to each other, before the animatronic answered with, "Yes, we do. We have a jerry can in need of filling."

"You do, now?" Freddy nodded. The man hummed. "Can I see this jerry can? That way I'll know how much to charge ya." At that, Gregory went back to the van and opened the passenger side door. The empty can was on the ground. Taking it out, the boy showed it to the man. "Ah, a good 25L there." As the man said that, Freddy did the math in his head—which only took him mere milliseconds. "We will have it filled halfway, for now."

"You sure?" The man asked, brow arched curiously. The bear nodded. "Well, okay then. Come inside and I'll ring you up." Handing the jerry can back to Gregory, the man turned around and began back inside. He gestured for the two to follow, which they did. As the three walked inside, the man went back behind the counter and to the register. "How will you be paying?"

"We only have cash." Gregory told, already unzipping his backpack. "Alrighty." The man hummed, working to ring up the appropriate price for the gas. While he did, Freddy took a brief look around the store for some food and water for Gregory. The bear took hold of two simple, plastic water bottles, a small bag of candy, and a saran wrapped sandwich. After grabbing the items, and before he returned to the counter, small notifications at the corner of Freddy's Heads-Up Display caught his attention.

Pausing, Freddy looked at the notifications for a minute. Upon checking his batteries percentage, he found it to be at 20%. This isn't good. He thought. For now, he'd have to ignore this until another makeshift solution could be found. He promptly dismissed the notifications in a mere blink.

"Freddy?" Gregory called, looking over to Freddy's direction. "What're you doing?" Turning around, the bear rejoined the boy at the counter. "Sorry, I was simply getting a few things for you." He told, ruffling Gregory's hair affectionately after having placed the items on the counter. The man then rang them up. "That'll run you $52.34". He told, just as another customer entered the station.

Freddy glanced down to Gregory, who was already holding his backpack up for him to take. After a moment, the bear placed the correct amount down on the counter. "Thank you." The man said, placing the cash in the register. "If you want, I can help you out with the jerry can?" Freddy hummed, before giving a small nod. "We would appreciate that."

An annoyed grunt could then be heard. The man looked and saw the other costumer, a man older than him by at least five years, stood there with a suspicious look in his eye upon glancing to the animatronic. "Hey man, I'll help you in a minute, alright?" Crossing his arms, the customer gave a shrug. With that, the man walked out from behind the counter again, and exited with Freddy and Gregory.

While the man filled the jerry can half way at one of the pumps, Gregory stood by and talked with the guy—learning his name, and how long he'd been working at the gas station. Kurtis, as he introduced himself, was naturally curious about the boy and the animatronic's situation, however Gregory seemed hesitant. Giving the kid a small nudge, Kurtis lowered his voice so as Freddy, who was stood a safe distance from the pump, couldn't hear. "Hey, you aren't in any trouble, are you kid?"

"Huh? Oh, no." Gregory answered. He then mumbled with, "... Freddy might be, though." Kurtis wasn't sure what to make of that. "But you're okay, right?" Gregory nodded in reply. "A'right. As long as you're not in any kind of danger." Kurtis told, demeanor relaxing once more. "I don't stand by kids getting hurt." He added, finishing up with the jerry can.

From a distance, Freddy kept an eye on the two. Something caught his attention from the corner of his eye, however. The other customer was stood practically in the gas station's window, being subtle as he continued to look at Freddy. Something about the guy made the animatronic nervous, though he didn't know why. Though, before he could make any more speculations, a klaxon suddenly sounded in his head.

Freddy froze. He was beginning to panic. This isn't good! This isn't good! This isn't good! More notifications popped up in his HUD.
