"So, got any news for me?" Vanessa asked, as Keith walked up to her. The man gave a shrug. "Yeah, but it's not good news." He confessed. Vanessa's eyes narrowed, giving him a suspicious look. "We couldn't get Freddy last night." Keith began, leaning against the wall. "And, Roxy hasn't seen the kid at the fair today, yet."
"Are you serious?" Keith gave a small, hesitant nod. "There no sign of the kid being there?" A shake of his head, 'no'. Vanessa pinched the bridge of her nose in irritation. "That's just great." Keith sighed. "My guess, is that after the whole game of 'cat and mouse', they'd probably try to leave town." He commented. Vanessa almost deadpanned at hearing that idea. "Leave town, and go where, huh?"
"Um..."
"Where would some nine-year-old and a robot go?" She asked him. "How would they even get anywhere, anyways?" Keith held up a finger, indicating he wanted to say something. "They have a van." Vanessa blinked. "A... van?" Her co-worker nodded. "Was is one of our vans? Because I heard one of the company vans went missing right around when Freddy took off."
"No, it wasn't a company van, but it was still a van." Vanessa stared off a moment, trying to process this information. "Did it look run down or something? Like it had been abandoned?" Keith gave a negative shake of his head. "Looked like a regular van, really." He explained. "So like, what? Is Freddy driving it?"
"Look, I don't know." Keith answered. "I'm just tellin' you what I saw." Vanessa sighed, crossing her arms. "Well, thanks for keeping an eye out, I guess."

Gregory was eating away at his brunch, pacing himself this time. From the cafe's counter, Mrs. Cooper could notice how the boy seemed to be less lively than normal. As if he seemed bothered. Putting down her pen and checkbook, the woman walked out from behind the counter and approached the boy and animatronic. "How's you food, dear?"
"It's good, thanks." Gregory answered, giving Mrs. Cooper a half smile. "Good." She responded with a nod. "Are you feelin' okay? You seem a little gloomy." Gregory gave a small shrug. "I erm... didn't sleep well last night." He answered half-truthfully. "Oh, I see." Something still didn't quite feel right, but Mrs. Cooper was unable to put a finger on it. Pulling up a chair, she sat down with the two. "Have you been down to the Festival yet?"
"Yep." Gregory answered, taking a bite of food. "I haven't gone down yet myself. How is it?" Mrs. Cooper asked, making casual conversation. Swallowing, the boy answered with, "It's great. There's lots of things to do." He explained, smiling a little more. "Sounds like fun." The woman commented, before then asking, "Will you be going back again today?"
"I'm... not sure." Gregory sheepishly answered. "We're gonna be leaving today, so I don't think there's time." Mrs. Cooper gave a curious hum. "Leaving? Leaving town?" The boy nodded, taking another bite. "Oh, I'm sorry to hear. Is it a move?" Gregory glanced towards Freddy, unsure how to answer. "Yes. His family is moving to a different town, and are leaving today."
"Ah, I see." Mrs. Cooper answered, seeming to have believe the lie. "Well, I'll miss having you stop by here, Gregory." She told, looking back to the boy. "Yeah, me too. You've been really nice to us." The woman smiled at hearing that. An idea came to her mind. "Would you like a little something for the road? My treat!"
"Yeah! Thanks!" Mrs. Cooper gave a chuckle, getting up. "Let me see what I can find you." She told, going to go get a fresh baked pastry. Gregory smiled, as he glanced over to Freddy—who was also smiling.

"You? Driving?" Gregory asked, as the two came up to the van. "Yes. I think I am able to pick it up rather easily." Freddy said with a nod, already going over to the driver's side of the van. "But, wouldn't it just be easier to let me drive?" The boy wondered. "I just feel it will be safer if I drive, seeing as we are going to a new town."
"Why?" Freddy continued. "We wouldn't want anyone to become suspicious if they see a kid in the driver's seat, and I do not feel comfortable having you drive such a long distance." He explained, opening the door to go inside. "... 'snot that long." Gregory mumbled to himself, thinking Freddy didn't hear. "Please do not be sour, Gregory. I am not saying you can never drive again."
"Oh- I guess." Gregory sighed, settling into the passenger seat. "Alright, then. Buckle up, superstar. It's time we get going." Doing as he was asked, Gregory buckled up. After, he made a reach into his backpack for the generously sized brownie Mrs. Cooper had given him. "I'll try not to drive too recklessly, so do not worry, Gregory."
"I won't." Gregory assured the bear, taking a bite of his brownie. Freddy hummed, before turning the engine on and pulling the van onto the street. With that, they left town.
