...
michael brushed his teeth and splashed his face with cold water before going downstairs.
"morning, kitten." luke smiled. "I was thinking we could eat out today? with ashton and louis?"
michael smiled, nodding his head.
"alright. go get dressed and we'll leave in thirty minutes."
michael pulled on a pair of jeans as well as one of his pink sweaters. then we went back downstairs and quietly waited for luke to drive them.
luke let michael sit in the front seat, which was odd. he never sat in the front seat. he never knew furries were aloud to. plus, he was so short he could barely see the road as they drove.
once they got to the diner ashton decided on, michael was starving.
"hold on, kitten, it's getting chilly outside," luke cooed, fetching michael a long, black scarf. it was early december and just started getting chilly.
michael complained how the color made his outfit look sad but luke didn't care.
"it's cold, princess." he said before they got out of the car.
*
michael felt so intimidated by louis. yeah, furries weren't aloud to act dominate because their owner would think they've gone feral, but louis was the most dominate furry he'd seen. ashton told stories on how louis misbehaved often. he stared down michael in the car, too.
"I always get punished right though." louis laughed as they finished up eating. ashton rolled his eyes, but he had a slight smirk playing on his lips.
"y-you like getting punished?" michael asked the older furry when ashton and luke are deep in a conversation.
louis nodded, taking a swig of water.
"I think you're supposed to."
pictures of the abused furries popped into his mind. michael shuddered.
*
after finishing their breakfast luke excused himself and his furry.
"got a lot of editing to do." he muttered before saying goodbye and paying his half of the bill.
they were now at home, and luke was in his office like usual.
michael got a glass from the cupboard and filled it with milk. he sat on the kitchen counter, drinking it while going through his twitter.
he had fifty-four followers already and only started his account yesterday. to say the least he was pleased with it.
michael tweeted selfies and things he did regularly. he liked twitter. he used it often.
michael was going through his followers on twitter when one account catches his eye.
it's his old owner.
he clicked on his profile and followed him almost immediately. michael's old owner looked almost exactly the same since he dropped him off at the sanctuary. he almost drooled while looking at a picture of him shirtless on his profile.
the thing is, michael didn't know his owner's name. he was forced to call him sir his whole ten years staying with him.
he glanced at his username:
calumhood
michael shrugged. it really didn't make a difference to know his name.
suddenly, a small notification pops up at the bottom of the screen.
it looks like he's received a message.
michael excitedly clicks to read it. he hasn't gotten a direct message before.
calum.
it was calum.
michael's heart almost stopped. his old owner was trying to contact him. he didn't see anything against talking to former owners in his furry guidelines.
he clicked on the message, hands almost shaking.
'hey baby boy. I miss you' it read.
michael didn't know how to respond. should he say he misses him, too?
'hello, sir.' he typed. then pressed the send button.
'I have a new owner.' michael typed again.
he didn't send it though. he just stared at the keys, and that line at the very end of the sentence that blinked on and off.
'do you have a phone, precious?'
michael felt like he was betraying luke by talking to his old owner.
'I do.' he hit send.
'do you miss me, baby boy?'
michael's fingers glide across the keyboard. he hit send. he bit his lip.
'yes sir.'
