...
michael could've sworn he was feeling well yesterday. maybe he actually was. nonetheless, today he was back to feeling terrible. he woke up with a stomachache and threw up again, and this time luke wasn't by his side.
it was wrong for michael to talk back to luke. it really was. he knows he shouldn't have done it and regrets it. he doesn't know why he did that in the first place. it was unlike him.
the pink haired furry stumbles into luke's room, tired and queasy.
"lukey?" he whimpered, climbing onto the bed and straddling luke.
the blonde turns a bit before taking michael's hips into his large hands.
"morning, precious."
"I feel gross." the small boy whimpered, rubbing his hands onto luke's chest.
the tall one became concerned, eyebrows scrunching together. "what's wrong, kitten? you feeling sick again?"
michael nodded, laying his head down on his dominates chest.
"we should go to the doctor, yeah? just to get you checked out."
he nodded, smiling a bit.
no school today.
which means one more day to convince luke about never going back.

michael knew the hospital was for healing sick furries. he knew the hospital was good. he knew any furry that went into this facility came out healthy... most of the time.
when michael was still in the furry facility waiting to get adopted, he heard a lot of stories. about furries turning feral, about the different levels of furries, about the different levels of owners.
sometimes, furries who were worn out and old, came into the facility. michael wasn't one to gossip, but he did have good ears. eavesdropping was something michael seemed to do a lot. sometimes unintentionally. like one time he heard one of his pen mates talking about an older furry who came into the facility.
neither furry had seen a good look of the older furry, maybe just a glance or two, but they seemed to have the best memory in the room. they said he was foaming from the mouth and had wild eyes that darted back and forth. his ears were bloody and close to tearing off his swollen head and his tail was wrapped up, red at the tip as if it was bitten off. he was feral.
another time an older furry came in, they said her owner died. let her back into adoption. michael had a couple nice conversations with her from time to time. she must've been fifty or older. one day they took her to the hospital and she never came back. michael hoped she was still alive. she was nice. spoke softly. purred often. what was her name? laura?
he could barely remember. it seemed to long ago already. it felt like he was a billion years old.
"kitten." luke's soft voice shook him from his thoughts. the doctor was ready to see them. he stood up, legs a bit shaky due to how weak he felt. luke steadied him, holding him by his shoulders, then held his hand. they were led down a white hallway and then entered a white room with white furniture and dull decorations.
"have your furry sit on the table and undress down to his underwear. the doctor will see you in ten minutes." the small redheaded nurse smiled and left, leaving luke and michael alone.
"take this off, kitten." luke smiled, tugging michael's shirt up and off his pale body. then next were his shoes, and finally his pants. luke was so gentle with michael, it gave him goosebumps.
luke got the blue robe from underneath the table and put it on michael, making sure to cover him in time for the doctor to come in to examine him.
"breathe in."
michael took a deep breath in.
"and out."
michael exhaled.
"okay, and lie on your back for me."
the doctor became squishing michael's tummy around, then to his chest. he furrowed his eyebrows for a second, and went back to examining his stomach.
"oh, uh, mr. hemmings?"
"yes, doctor?"
"what are his symptoms?"
luke took a deep breath, "uhm, dizziness, headaches. he's been throwing up a lot... and these weird cravings in the middle of the... night..." luke turned to the doctor suddenly. "doc, is he..."
the doctor smiled, "mr. hemmings, michael, you're expecting."

updates will be random, but don't give up on this story yet. I have big plans for the ending as well as the sequel, which I've already planned out and just need to get writing.
stay happy xx
