The next day, Wilbur woke up at 4 am like usual. He got up, brushing his teeth and hair. While yesterday was fun, he needed to get back to regular patrols in his districts. He slipped into his vigilante outfit, carrying the mask with him as he grabbed a snack and left the apartment.

He strapped the mask on, securing the veil that obscured his eyes. It was attached to the face mask so it wouldn't fly up, but no one ever noticed. Thankfully that meant heroes usually just tried to get him to flip and the veil to move, unless it was one of the regular opponents like Vixen or Jester (Even if he wasn't a hero he was still a major nuisance).

WIlbur scaled the apartment fire escape, hopping up to the roof without too much effort. He looked around the rooftop to see if anyone saw him, then dashed off towards the central districts.

Phil always said that he was the best person to be in the central districts because most villains don't go there unless they're stupid or Dream, and manipulation against manipulation was a much fairer fight than manipulation against wings or muscles. The people in the central district hated him with a passion, but that just made it so much more fun.

He passed district 7, now in his territory and wandering to keep an eye on what was going on. A scoff sounded from behind him, causing the vigilante to whirl around.

"Seirin."

Seirin nodded to the fox man, stepping closer to the edge of the building.

"Vixen. How's Sally doing?"

Vixen growled, his eyebrows furrowed angrily at Seirin. He didn't look like it, but in human years he was just four years old. Wilbur had gotten a tad bit irresponsible when he was in highschool, and had gotten the popular shapeshifter of the school pregnant. To this day he had no idea how Vixen was a fox, but he just assumed some fox really liked fish a couple generations ago.

"She's dead."

Seirin nodded slowly, angering Vixen even more.

"And because she's gone you're coming with me."

Vixen started towards Seirin, freezing as Seirin flicked one of his feet over the edge.

"Freeze."

Seirin easily stepped around Vixen, dashing away to one of his hidey holes. There, he waited until the fox had given up and gone home before wandering away to continue his patrol.

It wasn't that he didn't care that Sally was gone, it was just that his mind was busy with keeping Tommy safe. Tommy was his top priority. If Vixen was upset, that was his problem.

A little while later, Seirin jumped down in front of Dream, who was skulking around DIstrict 0, dangerously close to the president's place.

If Dream wanted to kill President Schlatt, Seirin didn't really mind, but he needed to fight Dream anyway so that the homeless teletubby would think Tommy was somewhere in the inner ring.

He bowed to Dream, the smirk on his face audible in the way he spoke.

"Hey Dweamy~"

Dream glared at Seirin, sending a string his way half heartedly.

"I'm not in the mood to deal with your antics, Seirin. Go away."

Seirin scoffed, easily dodging the string and leaning on a nearby wall.

"Wow, usually you're trying to kill me 'cuz I stole Huios, are you trying to trap me or something?"

Dream grumbled, signalling something with his hand. Arson and Rex Iris emerged from their hiding spots, Arson blaming Rex for their sparkly outfit.

"Come on Arson, how else can I be fabulous?"

Seirin snorted. Rex Iris was a fairly laid back villain and only got included if they could be as dramatic as possible or if someone powerful made them. They weren't really a villain, either, they acted pretty neutral most of the time.

"Hey Rex Iris, how are you today, your majesty?"

Seirin bowed to Rex, ignoring Arson despite the whines of protest.

"Pretty good, Dream said he needed help getting his kid back so here I am. Didn't know you got the kid, pretty good for someone like you."

"What do you mean someone like me?"

Dream stepped in, green threads threatening to tighten around Seirin and Rex's throats.

"Break it up. Seirin, give me back Huios or there will be consequences next time we meet."

Seirin scoffed, not believing Dream for one second. They were evenly matched unless Dream wanted to bring other people in, and even then Seirin had the entire Syndicate and Jester's casino who would be willing to back him. Heck, even the heroes would work with him if it included catching Dream.

"Like what? You're just bullshitting yourself, Dream. Give up."

All three villains froze, giving Seirin enough time to leave. He sauntered away and hid in another hidey hole, checking the cameras near Dream's location. Eventually the three villains left their separate ways, probably trying to find Seirin.

Serin smirked, leaning back and dozing off in his hidey hole. They wouldn't find Seirin here, but it was still unsafe for him to leave just yet.

Very, very slowly, Seirin fell asleep in the hole.

----<>----

Tommy looked up from the computer at the clock on the wall, frowning.

"Hey Ranboo, what time does Wilbur usually get home?"

Ranboo shrugged, not looking up from his computer.

"Usually about 4 or 5pm, why?"

Tommy closed the computer, getting up.

"It's 6."

Tubbo looked up from his computer, clicking off Minecraft and opening the camera feeds for the inner districts.

"Don't worry, I'll find him. Quackity's intel said that Dream was planning a trap for Seirin in district 0, so he's probably there."

Tommy jumped up, swinging around the table to look over Tubbo's shoulder.

"Pull up the camera feeds in districts 10 and 19, if he was captured by Dream he would probably be in those areas."

Ranboo shut down his and Tommy's computers, quietly moving away to make dinner while the other two flicked through all the feeds. He pulled out a tray and oven fries, along with a pack of fish sticks.

"Tommy, you connected a string to Wilbur, right? Check the emotions in it."

Tommy nodded and grabbed Wilbur's string, feeling the dull buzz of sleep. He bit his lip, relaying it to Tubbo.

"I can wake him up, that may help us figure out where he is."

Ranboo preheated the oven, waiting with two trays of food. Tubbo nodded to Tommy, and the blonde grabbed the string and sent a burst of fear. He knew from interrogations exactly how much to put into the string, he could thank Dream for that. One of the camera feeds caught a shadowy figure jolting up from lying on the floor, a faint "FUCK!" heard as well.

Tommy snorted, sending reassurance down the string. Despite the emotions he just fed down the string, Wilbur still felt irritable and exhausted. Tommy frowned, but didn't voice his concerns. They could figure it out when Wilbur got home. Tubbo clicked a button, smirking as he spoke clearly at the laptop.

"Rise and shine Seirin, you're late home."
