Chapter 29

Tommy woke up to a knock on the apartment door. He groaned, rolling over and eyeing the glowing clock on the wall. 2:22am. He groaned, rolling out of bed and getting dressed in his Theseus outfit. He heard a knock on the door, and threw a coke can at the door, grumbling. Void sighed on the other side of the door.

"Hurry up Theseus, we're already late for the Syndicate meeting."

He scoffed, throwing a shoe at the door.

"I know Void, go away.'

Void scoffed, but shuffled away. Theseus secured his mask, shooting himself some finger guns as he wandered out to face Bee and Void, both decked out in their full vigilante outfits. They nodded to each other, Bee floating over and opening the door. There stood Merling and Magma.

They weren't super well known vigilantes but they got the job done, Techno had introduced them to Theseus before. Merling grinned, visible under the cloth mask she wore. Magma shifted uncomfortably, glancing in between Merling and Theseus.

"Hello there, I'm assuming you're Theseus?"

Theseus nodded, Void and Bee standing on either side of him protectively. They stared at each other for a while before Magma broke the silence, annoyed.

"Well let's get moving then! The bosses are waiting."

Theseus nodded again, leading Void and Bee out of the apartment. Merling fell into step in front of the group while Magma brought up the rear. The teenagers were escorted to a beaten up vehicle with dark tinted windows. Void eyed it warily, reaching out and gripping Theseus's hand. Instinctively, Theseus gripped Bee's hand so that all three were connected. Magme saw the exchange and scoffed.

"You're safe with us, chill out. If any of you got hurt around the Syndicate, we'd turn in whoever did it to the heroes."

Theseus didn't doubt Magma's words, hopping into the car without a second thought. Bee and Void followed, all three strapping in the back as Magma and Merling settled into the front seats. Bee attempted to relax, sinking into the hard worn seats. Void sat straight up, watching every little movement of the two adults.

Merling turned around after clicking her seatbelt on, handing blindfolds over to Theseus and Bee. Theseus shot a look at Void.

"How come he gets to see where your base is?"

Void shrugged, ignoring Bee who sniffed the blindfold suspiciously.

"I already know. Just put the blindfolds on, it'll be fine."

Theseus scoffed, putting on the blindfold and leaning on Bee's shoulder. Be followed suit, leaning on Theseus. Void watched with a little smile. Magma signalled to him and Ranboo dropped his vigilante form. A shortened form would definitely make this drive more comfortable.

"Okay, everyone ready?"

At the chorus of positive replies, Merling started the car and began driving out to the edge of L'manburg. Out to where L'manburg had its beach (the most visited place in the outer districts) and of course, plenty of warehouses and broken down ships. Merling guided the car through a warehouse and up a ramp into an old ship, motioning for Ranboo to shift back to Void. He did as he was told, grumbling quietly as he attempted to not break his neck on the hood of the car.

The car kept driving, towards the ships and into a ship called "Anarchia." Icarus stood just inside, waving to Merling and Magma.

"You got the kids?"

Theseus scoffed with annoyance, raising his hand. Bee giggled, pushing Theseus off him.

"Excuse me Icarus, Big man Theseus is not a child."
