Tommy was ecstatic. Wilbur was awake! Of course, he had been awake for about a week now, but information from the Minecraft household travelled slower without Jack and Niki.

What happened to Jack wasn't something that weighed heavily on his conscience. In Tommy's opinion, Jack had asked for it. Ranboo and Tubbo didn't share his view, so he supposed it was something he picked up from Dream, but Jack fully deserved to be punched to death. That's just what he thought.

He bounced around the apartment, pulling on his vigilante gear so he could go out and meet Dolus. Yes, it was 7am, but Wilbur was okay! He grinned as he bounced around, grabbing his cape.

Tubbo wandered out of his room, rubbing his eyes sleepily as he watched Tommy running around.

"It's 7 am Tommy, what are you doing this early?"

Tommy scoffed, pausing his running around and coming to a stop in front of Tubbo.

"7 am isn't that early. Plus, Wilbur's aware again! I need to meet him as soon as possible."

Tubbo frowned, taking Theseus's mask out of his hands. Tommy frowned and reached for it, but Tubbo stopped him.

"You're not spending any more time with that maniac. What if he hurts you next?"

Tommy rolled his eyes, reaching for his mask again. Tubbo moved it away, glaring at him.

"Wilbur won't hurt me, he's the same person who let us meet, remember?"

He reached for it again, this time Tubbo switched hands, the mask on the other side of him now.

"That was before Dream got to him. Dolus is a monster, Ares is a monster. That's not the same WIlbur and you know that."

Tommy growled like a dog, pushing Tubbo back. Tubbo stumbled, his eyes widening.

"Is that what you think of me too? Am I a monster because Dream raised me? Hm? Do you get so disgusted every time that you look at me because I'm just some kid that Dream saw as his ward, Do you look at me and just see that FUCKING SMILING MASK?"

Ranboo dashed out of his room as Tommy's red strings swarmed the apartment. He panicked, running to Tommy and gripping his arms.

"Tommy, tell me five things you can see."

Tommy snorted, bringing the strings back to him as he glared up at Ranboo.

"Well I would say a traitor but he's standing behind you."

Tubbo looked away from Tommy, dropping his mask and walking back to his room. Ranboo reached for him, only to be met with Tommy's hand.

"Let him be sad, Ranboo. He doesn't deserve your pity."

Ranboo watched as Tommy picked up his mask, covering his face. He sighed, rubbing his arm and glancing down at the ground.

"Stay safe Tommy."

Thuios headed towards the door, his voice quivering when he next spoke.

"No, you stay safe."

Theseus ran over the rooftops, ignoring the empty pit in his stomach. Wilbur was okay, that was all that mattered. Who cared what anyone else thought when he had Wilbur. He stopped on the edge of a building, staring down at the street. Life sucked so much. It would be easier to end it with Wilbur so the two of them could just hang out in the afterlife together.

So much easier.

Theseus stared down at the street for a while longer before a green thread out of the corner of his eye snapped him out of his thoughts. A green string? Dream hadn't been seen in ages, was he finally active again?

Ignoring his instincts screaming at him to run, he followed the string.

It winded through the rooftops, headed towards the outer districts. It was a long way from Phil's house, but Theseus needed to catch Dream. He had to prove that he wasn't a monster like-

"Thomas."

Theseus spun around, staring up at the figure in a green hoodie with a smiling mask covering his face. In his hands, he held a strange book that seemed to glow in the dawn. Theseus backed away, stopping short as he hit a wall at his back.

Dream walked up to Theseus slowly. Taking his time. Admiring him.

"You've done so well Thomas. I'm proud of you."

Theseus shook his head, backing away.

"No you don't, get away from me, get the fuck away from me!"

Dream ignored him, a green thread wrapping around Theseus's body and pulling him closer to Dream, into the centre of the roof. Theseus trembled, willing himself to attack, to capture Dream, kill him if he had to. Dream chuckled as he circled Theseus.

"What's wrong, "Theseus?" Got no friends to call for help?"

Theseus's breath caught in his throat, his chest tightening. He didn't have any friends, did he? Dream seemed to feel his thoughts and continued speaking.

"The thing is, Thomas..."

Dream circled Theseus like a shark, his mad grin audible in the way he spoke. The book in his hands glowed brightly, urging Dream to do it. Do it. Do it. He needed Thomas home. He needed Thomas to obey. It had been far too fucking long.

"I'm the only person who would miss you if you died."

With a flick of his wrist, the green threads encircling Theseus closed in and sliced off his head.
