It was the day. Tommy watched as Dolus, Icarus and Thanatos got ready to go out, Void already waiting at the door. Dolus glanced over to him and caressed his cheek, smiling softly at him.

"We'll be back before you know it. Promise."

Tommy nodded, locking eyes with Dolus. He reached out to grab one of his red strings, trying to send some kind of emotion to Dolus to show he cared, but he couldn't feel anything. Dolus felt a small tug on his heart, but chose to ignore it. Tommy would always be here when they returned,

Dolus stepped back, ruffling his hair and saluting to Tommy. Tommy saluted back, getting a couple of chuckles from the others. They waved as they left, Tommy completely alone in the house. He stared at the door for a moment before walking back to his room.

He sat on the bed, looking around his room. His gaze travelled around until it landed on something tucked into the corner of his closet. He got up, walking closer. Pushing away the clothes, he saw his Theseus costume. He stared at it for a moment before pushing it aside and staring at the thing pressed right up into the corner.

Huios. He locked eyes with the smiling mask, staring at it. He gripped his arm, digging his fingers in. He was different. He was not Huios anymore. Huios had been gone for a long time. Dream was not attached to him.

Tommy was Tommy.

Tommy was not Huios.

Tommy was not Thomas.

Tommy was not Theseus

Tommy was not Tommy.

Void teleported Thanatos onto the top of the syndicate base, dashing off to get the heroes. Thanatos swayed on his feet a little, pretty nauseated. Icarus landed next to him, letting down Dolus who snickered at Thanatos.

"Awe, the big bad blood god can't handle a little teleportation?"

Thanatos flipped him off, huffing indignantly. He stood up straight, glaring at Dolus.

"I'm not used to Void's teleportation, that's all."

Dolus snickered, punching him in the shoulder.

"Sure, sure."

Icarus sighed, fluffing out his wings and making sure all his feathers were straight.

"Boys, focus. Jester said that Dream was attacking here, they could be here any time now."

Thanatos nodded, swinging his axe around to get into the swing of things. Dolus rolled his eyes, relaxing and sitting on the deck of the boat. They watched the city silently, ready for anything that may approach.

It was a few more minutes before Void ran up to them. BadBoyHalo and Crystalize were right on his tail, Bad getting his vines ready and Crystalize throwing crystal seeds over the edge. Captain P followed not long after, rolling up her sleeves. Spore and Jester filtered in behind them, chatting about something. Caduceus was right behind those two, pushing them to go faster.

Dolus examined the heroes, nodding to himself. Based on the numbers they had, they were in for one hell of a fight. The Warden, Timer and Vixen had decided to support the President, and both Warden and Timer were very dangerous heroes. Even without them, they were going up against Dream, Slime, Rex Iris and possibly Arson depending on how fast he healed.

Void stopped next to Dolus, huffing a little bit.

"How do you guys run without teleporting? It's so tiring..."

Dolus scoffed, pushing him.

"Says the 7 foot tall man who loves to run around the apartment."

Void sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. Dolus glanced around, ticking off all the superpowered people he knew in his head.

"Hold on, where's Bee? I thought he'd be on our side!"

Void looked away and Dolus groaned.

"Please don't tell me you scared off the bomb expert who can fly..."

"I didn't scare off the bomb expert who can fly."

Dolus glared at Void, who looked down at his hands.

"Okay yeah I scared off the bomb expert who can fly, but he wouldn't go to Dream's side! He's probably with his dad or something,"

Dolus rubbed his temples, glaring at Void.

"You fucking idoit, Dream's gathering as many people as he can! If Bee isn't here, he's with Dream. And I don't seem to see him here, do you?"

"Sorry..."

Dolus scoffed and walked away, jumping off the balcony of the ship and sliding down the side. As he neared the dock, he jumped away from the ship and rolled to his feet on the hard concrete. He glanced around the dock, keeping an eye out for anyone who was going to jump him.

No movement.

Icarus flew down to stand next to him, resting his hand on Dolus's shoulder.

"You know, on the ship is a good vantage point."

Dolus shook his hand off, still watching.

"On the ground, on the buildings and in the sky. It's how we do patrols and it's how we're going to do this battle."

He smirked over his shoulder at his dad, cracking his knuckles.

"Except this time, it's my turn to be on the ground."
