Ares wandered across the rooftops, swinging his arms absentmindedly. He hummed to himself, a new tune that he was just making up on the spot. Another skill he practised in Limbo when he wasn't being attacked. So many songs, all rattling around in his head. It was better than being hated by his family. Clay always asked if he remembered his family, it annoyed him. He hated his family, his family hated him. So he said no. Of course, Clay started lying to him but it was little things like "I'm your only family, the rest are dead" or some crap like that. It was adorable.

Ares set off a bomb, the building next to him setting on fire as the one just over exploded. He smirked, lighting a cigarette on the burning building and inhaling the intoxicating smoke. He let it out of his mouth, pretending to be a dragon goofily. No one was watching. He didn't need to be tough.

"Rawr I'm the big bad dragon."

He snorted, taking another breath and repeating his dragon breath of cigarette smoke as he sat down on the edge of the building. It was rather amusing really. He turned his head side to side, imagining he was torching villages with his breath. A little giggle on his right nearly made him jump out of his skin. Turning towards the source of the sound, he saw Void. He was pretty sure his name was Void. It had been a while.

He realised a second too late that Void had seen recognition dawn in his eyes before he hit it with a fake cold air.

"Who are you?"

Void scoffed, sitting down next to Ares. Ares shuffled away, taking another puff of the cigarette.

"You know who I am Wiilbur, why are you pretending not to?"

Wilbur huffed. This boy... You couldn't hide anything from Void. He somehow found out everything. Wilbur fighting Dream, where the Syndicate Base was, Dream's identity, just.. Everything.

"Fine. You better be glad you're so good at keeping secrets. Otherwise, I'd have to make you kill yourself."

Ares snorted at the joke, Void staring at him with a blank expression. Ares leaned on his hand, watching Void struggle internally.

"What's wrong Oreo boy? Not the personality you expected?"

Void shrugged, bringing his knees up to his chest. Ares scoffed, dropping his cigarette over the edge of the building.

"Wilbur-"

"Ares. Dream said I'm Ares."

Void nodded slowly.

"Right. Ares. What... what happened? Why are you staying with Dream if you still remember us? I'm assuming if you know who I am, you also know who Tommy, Phil and Techno are, right?"

Ares flinched, Tommy's voice echoing in his mind.

Fuck you Wilbur. You hurt me, you're a bad person, I never want you near me again.

Void watched Ares flinch, hearing a little whisper.

"Fuck off Tommy."

Oh. Wilbur was like Tommy. Of course they both heard voices, Wilbur's probably was distorted based on what he whispered. Void gripped his shoulder, feeling the man jump at the touch.

"He's not real, Ares. Tommy is on the other side of the city, trying to get his big brother back."

Ares glanced up at Void, listing off the five things he could see, ect. Void squirmed under the eye contact but waited until he had calmed down. He took the opportunity to note how Ares looked an age older than Void remembered. His soft brown eyes glowed red under his hair, with scars that shape tear marks decorating his cheeks.

Void broke eye contact as soon as Ares had stopped muttering, instead watching the burning building.

"Why did you do that?"

Void shrugged.

"We care about you Ares, no matter what your hallucinations say."

Ares stood up, glaring down at Void. He snarled back at the younger, his eyes narrowing as he pulled his smiley mask to cover his face.

"Then why was it that the guy who killed me was the only one who bothered to bring me back?"
