Spore came face to face with Arson, who glared at him. Spore laughed nervously, slowly turning the rest of his body around to face Arson.
"Hey Arson."
Arson glared at Spore, getting up close to his face.
"Why didn't you help us? Why is it that you always turn away from Clay and I?"
Spore looked away from Arson, who scoffed and stepped back.
"Fine then. Have fun in prison, dickhead."
George was about to ask what he meant when a hard blow to the back of his head knocked him out.
Thanatos grunted again as The Warden punched him in the gut, buckling over. The Warden strode forward, grabbing him by his long pink hair and yanking him up. He dragged Thanatos to the edge, letting him see the chaos below.
Crystalize and BadBoyHalo were restraining as many civilians as they could, trying to keep casualties to a minimum. They danced around each other, protecting each other's backs but still overwhelmed with how many people were swarming towards them.
Captain P and Jester were trying to hold out of the ship, pushing back against Slime's goopy mess and trying to contain him while searching for green threads. Captain P was slashing at the goop with a sword while Jester was yelling for slime to listen.
Arson was walking towards Crystalize and BadBoyHalo, while Spore was being dragged to a helicopter and placed in power-blocking cuffs.
Dolus was nowhere to be seen, Dream was god knows where, Void was probably in the swarm of people and if Thanatos looked up, he could see Bee and Icarus falling from really high up.
Timer and Vixen walked up behind Thanatos and The Warden, VIxen looking a bit sick and Timer watching the bodies with a look of contentment. Warden glanced over at Timer.
"How much longer will this go on?"
Timer checked his watch, then sighed.
"Twenty more minutes."
Icarus dove and caught Bee, flying back up and out of range of everyone on the ground. Bee clung to Icarus, silent tears pouring down his cheeks. Icarus stroked his hair gently, humming.
"It's okay, you're okay."
Bee took a few more shuddering breaths before pushing out of Icarus's arms and hovering on his own.
"I know that the Syndicate has wanted to take down the government for a while, this is the best time to do it. Come on, I'll show you where Schlatt is."
A few districts away, Dream opened the door to the house. It was rather quiet here. He would have assumed he could have heard Thomas, but no matter. He casually wandered through, picking up a notepad full of notes and scribbles.
Dream flipped through the notepad, smiling softly at the grinning Thomas drawings. He seemed to be happy, that was good.
He put the notebook down, walking around the kitchen. His eyes settled on a tile that seemed newer than the rest of them. Of course they couldn't look at his smiley face drawing. He sighed, making his way to the stairs. Maybe Thomas was in the rooms upstairs. He pushed open Phil's door, glancing around the room.
No Thomas.
He opened Techno's door, grinning at the Mythology books.
No Thomas.
Dream wandered over to Wilbur's room, opening it and looking carefully inside. His gaze swept over the music and a fish shrine? He shook it off, closing the door.
He glanced over at his old room. Wouldn't it be funny if Phil put Thomas in his old room? With how similar Thomas was to Clay, it would be like a replacement. With a little snort, he pushed open to door to his old room.
Tommy stood there, in the middle of the room. His hair was bright white, and his eyes stared into Dream's soul. At first, Dream thought he was scared. But as Tommy continued to stare, and Dream's heart dropped.
Dream gripped onto Tommy's arms, shaking him. Cold blue eyes, emotionless and wide, stared down at him. Dream choked back a sob, stumbling back. Tommy was gone. This boy was just empty. In all of Clay's time knowing Thomas, the blonde had been hot headed and stubborn, excited by everything and the destruction. This boy was just something that looked like Thomas. Clay couldn't accept that.
"Please Thomas, come back, come back to me."
Tommy looked away. Clay was crushed. Clay walked forward, pulling Tommy into a tight hug.
"I'm so, so sorry. Tho-"
Clay stopped himself, stroking Tommy's pure white hair.
"Tommy. I should have been a better big brother and I'm so terribly sorry for everything I've done."
Tommy pushed Clay away, staring into his eyes. He turned around, picking a notepad off the bedside table and scribbling something down. Clay watched with a frown, before Tommy turned the pad around.
I can't speak because of you. I can't feel emotions because of you. I'm like this because of you.
He flipped the page, staring into Clay's eyes.
You can never be redeemed in my eyes.
Clay shook his head, striding forward and grabbing Tommy's wrist. He attached a green string, trying to nudge him.
"Come home Thomas, I love you."
Tommy ripped the thread off himself, shaking his head. They stared at each other, Clay fighting back tears. Eventually, Tommy turned away and walked down to the lounge. Clay followed, trying to think of some way for Tommy to come back with him.
Tommy turned on the TV, turning it to the News Channel. Clay watched, looking between him and the static on the screen.
"Wha-"
Tommy pointed at the TV, the static disappearing to show Bee taking off his mask.
Tubbo stared at the camera, determined.
"Jonathan Schlatt is no longer in office. The Syndicate has taken over and will be holding an election soon. Dream, give up. We will be coming to your location now."
Tommy stared at the screen, his hands moving up and pulling his mouth into a smile. Clay watched in horror as Dolus busted the door down.
