Phil was staying home to look after Tommy today. Now that they knew Tommy didn't care if he got stabbed or not, they made sure someone was watching him 24/7. It seemed entirely unnecessary to Tommy, but he didn't care enough to tell them. Phil was now watching him as he scrolled through the TV channels. He was bored. Nothing to do, and no one knew how to talk to him because of how differently he didn't react to everything.

Man, being free from emotions was dull.

He stopped on the news, watching the newsreader saying something about the president's son being found finally or whatever. He was about to scroll to a different channel when something popped up on the screen.

"BREAKING NEWS! A new vigilante is facing off against the feared villain Arson! We go now to Katie who is live on the scene."

The screen switched to live footage of Dolus and Arson dancing around each other with an array of burning objects and people in the middle of a park. In broad daylight. Phil swore, running off to grab his vigilante clothes. Tommy simply kept watching.

Dolus was stressed. He dodged another burst of fire, ripping up a street lamp and swinging it at Arson. He wiped a bit of sweat off his forehead as he swung, grunting when Arson grabbed the end of the lamp. His hands glowed red hot, warming the metal of the lamp until Dolus was forced to drop it.

You may be wondering why the hell Dolus was facing off against one of the biggest villains in the city. Basically, Dolus overheard Arson laughing on the phone with Dream, saying that "Huios" would come to his senses and come home soon enough. So he jumped Arson. One thing led to another, and now they fought. Arson was fighting purely defence, not understanding who this stranger dressed in dark greys even was. That was, of course, until Dolus hissed through his teeth at him.

"Freeze."

Arson froze, his eyes widening as his eyes followed Dolus walking calmly up to him.

"Seirin..."

Dolus nodded his head to Arson, smirking. He swung at Arson, punching him in the face.

"That's for supporting Dream."

He swung again, punching Arson in the gut.

"That's for Thomas."

Arson coughed up a bit of blood. Dolus wasn't pulling back any of his punches. Arson bet he could still hold up against him though. That was until Dolus pulled a park bench out of the ground.

"Seirin stop-"

Dolus scoffed, raising the bench over his head.

"It's Dolus now, bitch."

The park bench came crashing down, knocked to land just on Arson's shoulder, knocking the man to the ground and out of Dolus's control. Dolus swung around to see who interfered and came face to face with Thanatos's blood red eyes. He took a step back, looking away.

"Hey Thanatos..."

"Gods above, Dolus- This is not laying low."

Arson glanced between them, blinking slowly as he was barely conscious. He was vaguely aware of his crushed shoulder and the horrible pain that screamed at him. He couldn't get up. Oh gods he couldn't get up.

Thanatos grabbed Dolus by his collar, pulling him to his face so that the older man had nowhere to look but at him.

"You're grounded for the rest of the month. And we're taking Arson to a healer now, we don't need to give Dream more reason to be after our asses."

Dolus scoffed, gripping onto Thanatos's hand and squeezing. Thanatos didn't even flinch, staring into Dolus's masked eyes with unwavering anger. They glared at each other until Dolus finally let go, looking away from Thanatos and Arson. Thanatos dropped him, turning to Arson and heaving the park bench off him.

Arson gazed up at him, dazed.

"Hey Thanatos. Dolus is a dick."

Thanatos scoffed, gently picking up Arson and positioning his arm over his chest so that he wouldn't worsen his shoulder.

"Come on Arson, I'll take you to Caduceus and he'll heal you up good as new."

Arson shook his head, turning his face to hide from the news crew that he could pretty much feel gazing at him and Thanatos

"Caduceus hates me, just call Dream. My phone's in my pocket."

Thanatos scoffed, shaking his head and motioning to Dolus.

"Dolus, I think you should do the call."

Dolus sighed and pulled out his own phone, typing in Dream's number. Thanatos stared at him in disbelief as Dolus listened to the tone ring. Dream picked up on the fourth ring.

"What the fuck Wilbur, I saw what you did to Arson."

Dolus shrugged, turning away from Thanatos and Arson.

"Sorry Dream, but when you messed with Theseus something may have snapped. Come get your sidekick, he needs medical attention."

Dream scoffed, rustling sounds coming through the receiver to Dolus.

"I'm on my way, agree to not attack each other while I pick him up?"

Dolus grumbled, glancing over at Thanatos. Thanatos sent him a warning glare. Dolus sighed, turning his focus back to the phone.

"Fine, yes, I promise we won't attack you. I'm only doing this because Thanatos will beat my ass if I don't, okay?"

Dream scoffed, his voice muffled now that he had his mask on.

"Great. I'll be there in five."

Dolus hung up, walking back over to Thanatos. Thanatos sat down with Arson cradled in his lap, speaking quietly to the man. Dolus didn't get how Thanatos could be so gentle with an enemy. They were supposed to stamp out all the bad people in the city, right? They sent non-powered people to jail all the time, so why not powerful mass murderers like Arson? He'd have to ask Techno about that later.

He sat down a little way away from Thanatos and Arson, playing with a strand of loose hair. This was just a pain in the ass, why couldn't they drop Arson off at the police station and let them deal with it?

Eventually Dream showed up. The cameras focused on Thanatos and Arson swung around to face Dream, who glared at Dolus.

"I'm disappointed Ares. You seemed to love working with me."

Thanatos scoffed, standing up still cradling Arson.

"Just take your friend and go, be careful of his shoulder though."

Dream took Arson from Thanatos gingerly, pushing his face next to Arson's and whispering to him. Thanatos, Dolus and the rest of L'manburg watched. Eventually, Dream straightened up.

"I hope you're happy, Ares."

He turned away, walking away to a car parked nearby. He gently put Arson in the passenger seat, then turned back to Thanatos and Dolus.

"Because that happiness won't last for very long."

That was the last thing he said before getting in his car and driving away.
