"I've been trying all day, but he hasn't answered any of my calls." Sunoo sounded quite deflated, he didn't want to think Jungwon was ignoring him on purpose. He pouted at the thought. "What if he's dead?! Or worse, he doesn't want to be my friend anymore?!"
Sunghoon chuckled at his boyfriends dramatics. "I'm sure he still wants to be your friend, don't stress yourself out about nothing. He's going through a rough patch, let him miss a few calls here and there."
"But it's not here and there, he's not answered a single call, and I've called him like..." Sunoo tilts his head, and scrunches his face. "...four or five times!"
"That's not really that much."
"Yeah well, I don't wanna look like some crazy person, do I?"
"Stop being silly, Jungwon won't care if you call him a thousand times, because it's you." Sunghoon said, gently brushing a few strands of hair behind Sunoo's ear. "Give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he's just busy today."
"Hmm." Sunoo hummed, eyes glancing across the rink. "Leeteuk's coming over, want me to take that?" He asked, referring to the coffee Sunghoon was holding, which he had brought him a few minutes prior.
"Yeah." He replied, handing the cup to Sunoo. "Thanks. Does he look mad? He's been in a bad mood all morning, I was hoping he would calm down during the break."
"He kind of looks normal?" Sunoo muttered, trying to analyse the males expression.
"Normal?" Sunghoon let out a thin laugh. "Very helpful Sunoo."
Sunoo pursed his lips. "He does look normal though. Here, you'll see for yourself." He nodded in the direction of the footsteps.
"Park, where the hell is your annoying friend?" Leeteuk groaned. It seemed his anger had transformed more into frustration now. "I just got a call from Coach Eunhyuk about them missing practice, he thought you might know where they are."
"Sorry coach, I think they're staying home for a few more days." Sunghoon replied.
"Well do remind them that they actually have to tell their coach, when they plan on missing practice." Leeteuk stated, rubbing his temples. "I have a lot on my plate at the moment Sunghoon, I don't want to be dealing with insignificant things like this."
"Understood coach."
Leeteuk nodded, glancing momentarily to the boy next to his student. "You should stay and watch him today, he always does better when you're around. Almost like he's trying to impress you." He chuckled at the last part.
"I'll stay for a little bit." Sunoo responded meekly, a thin layer of blush spreading across his cheeks. He was planning on staying anyway, but Leeteuk's comment made him a bit embarrassed.
"Then I'll expect the best from you Park."
Sunghoon just smiled, hiding away the nerves. Of course he wanted to do better when Sunoo was around, but due to Leeteuk's bad mood, he just wanted to avoid all the scolding.
The coach parted his lips, but just as he was about to speak, another voice filled their ears.
"Jay Park is back in the building, good to see ya-"
"Park! Get the hell out of my rink right now! Go and see Coach Eunhyuk!"
Jay looked incredibly taken a back, clearly not expecting this kind of reception. "Uh I'll swing by the courts later." They awkwardly replied, scratching their nape.
"Later?! How about now! And what is this, some kind of reunion?!"
All eyes fell on the other two people trailing behind Jay.
