"Acts of violence are taken very seriously at this school Riki. We need to make sure you understand that even though you're under a lot of stress at the moment, these behaviours are not acceptable. I want the full story, completely truthful please."
Riki glanced to Yeosang, then returned his gaze to the floor. His frown ever present, not enjoying this meeting one bit. He didn't want to talk about what happened, and especially not with Yeosang.
Letting out a sigh, Riki started mumbling out his words. "He wouldn't leave me alone all day. So I went round the back of the school building, like you suggested, and he followed me there too. I guess we got into a verbal fight, then he spat on me, and I just saw red. I genuinely didn't think, I grabbed his head, and...ya know. I assumed there'd be a wall there, not a window."
"Mhm, well I suggested you find a quiet space, not somewhere out of sight. I can't help you if I don't know where you are. My classroom would have been a much better option." Yeosang replied.
He was aware of the trouble Riki was facing with the other students, but nothing had gone beyond harsh words. Which were exchanged by both parties, so there was nothing he could do.
"Ugh stop babying me, I'm 18 for Gods sake! I can deal with this on my own."
"You may be 18, but you are clearly not mature enough to control your anger. Don't feel ashamed that you're being picked on, it happens all through life, even to people like me. You don't have to deal with it alone, that's why I'm here, I'm here to help you."
The two really couldn't get along, and Jake had no idea why. Yeosang seemed so lovely and genuine. Though Riki never liked authority, it didn't matter if you were the nicest person on earth. If he thought you knew better than him, he didn't like you.
"Anyway, now that I know the full story, we can discuss what's happening next. The boy you assaulted has been withdrawn from this school by his parents, and lucky for you, they're not pressing charges."
Riki's eyes lit up at this statement, dropping that cold exterior for a few seconds.
"What we're going to do for you, is set up a tailored schooling plan, that'll best benefit you through this last year. You'll be placed into smaller classes, with teachers who specialize in children with behavioral issues." Yeosang finished up, shooting the boy an affiliate smile.
"I don't have behavioral issues, I'm normal." Riki scoffed, scowling at Yeosang.
Yeosang's smile dropped, as he let a breath out. "There is no need to get defensive, this isn't an insult. We've looked over your past school records, and it seems your behavior has only gotten worse. We're just giving you the support that you need."
"It's just smaller classes, not a big deal." Jake muttered, tapping Riki's thigh gently. The boy seemed to calm down a little.
"Though we will need to have weekly therapy sessions, plus I'll need you to report to a specific room during break and lunch, until you've proven you won't repeat that behavior." Yeosang added. "It's nothing extreme, just a change. Can you agree to this?"
"Yeah whatever."
"Brilliant, thank you." Yeosang cheerfully said, ignoring the eye roll he received. "Now, your parents will be informed of the incident, even though I can tell you don't want them to know. You're rather clever calling Jake as your brother, if it wasn't me, no one would have known. Nonetheless your parents still would have been called, so it was pointless really."
"I apologize for that, I was just trying to help him, I didn't know what he did." Jake replied, scratching the back of his neck. It was one thing to lie to the school, but totally another thing, to get caught. He felt really awkward and guilty.
"No need to apologize, I find it rather humorous." Yeosang chuckled, getting up from his seat. "Are you able to take Riki home?" He asked, walking around his desk.
"Yes I brought my car with me." Jake answered, mirroring the mans behavior. He stood up, forcing Riki to as well.
"Alright then, Riki I'll see you on Monday. Could you wait outside for a moment? I'd like to have a small discussion with Jake, it won't take long."
"Why? Can't I be here? If it's about me I should be here." Riki felt his heart beating out of his chest. Jake alone with Yeosang, no way, he didn't want that.
"Riki please, he said it won't take long." Jake pleaded, giving him an expectant look.
"Fine."
Yeosang shut the door behind Riki, taking a seat back at his desk. Jake sat back down also, curious to why Yeosang wanted to speak to him.
"It must be hard for him living in Seoul without his family, and I'm glad to see he has friends like you around him. Though I'm worried that he's lacking the support he needs at home. I think a roommate could do him some good, so I was wondering if you knew anyone trustworthy who could take him in?"
A roommate? That actually didn't sound like the worst idea. Riki was currently living in a small studio apartment on his own, and definitely wasn't coping that great. He ate a lot of take out, and the place was always a mess. Maybe Yeosang was right, but how the hell was he meant to get Riki to agree to that? He had become so closed off after coming to Seoul, he surely wouldn't want to live with a stranger.
He'd want someone he knew, someone he liked, someone he wouldn't mind having around all the time. It was tricky, what person could fit that description?
Then it hit him, there was one person Riki would never decline, and what made it even better, was Jake didn't even have to ask him.
"I think I know one."

Fun fact: I was put into a small class for kids with behavioral issues for maths, due to my anxiety. I had like no friends, and people weren't always the nicest to me, but I liked it nonetheless. My teacher was literally the most caring person on earth, and smaller classes are just so much more comfortable for me.
Also happy valentines day! I hope everyone has a lovely day. I'm heading to the post office later to send out some photo cards, but that's literally it. Might eat some chocolate later and cuddle with my cat.
And double upload for fun🥰
