"That was incredible! What you've just witnessed was Sparks first live performance of their debut song 'Electric Shock.' I'm here with the members of Sparks, to learn everything and more about these monster rookies, and their debut."
Every part of him was shaking, just like it had been all day. From the press conference, to their debut showcase, this was all new for Sunoo. It was scary, and why wouldn't it be? This was the day of their debut, he had to make a good impression. Though, the shaking came more from a certain buzz of excitement, feeling like a constant stream of adrenaline was pumping through his veins. He'd never felt like this in his whole life, It was exhilarating.
The woman interviewing them was Kang Yejun of Pendant, someone Sunoo had looked up to for years. He actually couldn't believe he was in the same room as her, let alone, wrap his head around the fact she's under the same company. He really hoped he'd get to talk to her again, maybe in a less formal setting.
"Can you boys introduce yourselves?" Yejun asked, and the boys immediately got into position.
"Three, two, one." Heeseung counted.
"Spark a flame, Hello we are Sparks." All the boys say in unison, paired alongside their hand gesture, which aims to represent a spark. They close their fingers against their thumb, flicking out their fingers twice.
"Ooh very professional." Yejun cooed, clapping at the boys. "Now we'll do the solo introductions, lets start with the leader." She said, pointing to Heeseung.
"Hi I'm Sparks leader Heeseung." He stated, very confidently. He didn't really give off the impression of being a rookie.
Byeonghee, Doyum, and Geonu followed after Heeseung. Yejun bonded with Doyum over their positions as main dancer, and complimented all the boys on how well they spoke. She even got Byeonghee to sing a bit of their debut song, as he was the main vocal.
It was now Riki's turn, so he took a deep breath in, and looked confidently at the camera. "Hi I'm Sparks charismatic maknae Riki."
"Wow, very charismatic indeed!" Yejun gasped, which in turn made Riki blush, and slightly curl in on himself. "Just like Pendant's maknae. You hear that Hiroto? Treat unnie well."
All the boys laughed with Yejun, but Sunoo quickly realized it was his turn. He had to do this well, it would look really bad if he messed up on a simple introduction.
"Hi I'm Sparks cutest member Sunoo." He giggled, showing off the most adorable smile anyone had ever seen.
Yejun's jaw dropped, as she slapped her hand over her mouth. "Oh my goodness, you are so cute! and you have such a pretty smile!" Sunoo made a shocked face because of the flattery, which was even cuter than his smile. Yejun placed her hand over her heart, and pretended to faint. "Someone call the doctor, I've had an overdose of cuteness."
This was like a dream come true, never could Sunoo have imagined that Yejun of Pendant would be complimenting him like this.
"Your smile is so bright, it's like the sun. You should call yourself the groups sunshine." She said, still cooing at the cute giggles Sunoo was letting out. She could have talked about him all day, but she also had an interview to get on with. "So now we've met the members, lets find out more about the group. Heeseung, can you tell us a bit about Sparks?"
"Of course." He nodded, glancing to his group mates. He chuckled at the little thumbs ups Sunoo and Riki were giving him. "Sparks consists of six members, who are all strong performers. We work extremely well as a team, and will show you everything we have through our performances."
"I'll look forward to it. So, Sparks? Why is that the name of your group?" Yejun asked, watching Heeseung pass the mic along. "For Pendant, it has a double meaning. One referring to the piece of jewelry, that represents our beauty. The other, short for the word independent, representing the power we hold as women. I'm sure Sparks has just as great meaning."
