Posting all final chapters today- read chapter 38 first!
The windscreen wipers were working over time, brushing away the heavy rain that splashed against the windscreen. Jake could barely see anything it was so heavy, and it didn't help that the windows kept fogging up. Cranking up the heating, Jake lifted his head up to see through the non foggy part of the window. The heating soon removed some of the fogginess, but it would return every time he switched it off, so he decided to keep it on.
He had no clue where Riki was, or what he was doing. That call from Heeseung had left the boy with an immense amount of worry. He'd been driving around for twenty minutes now, and still nothing. None of the others had contacted him about finding Riki, so he assumed he was still out there somewhere.
He wouldn't stop looking until he was found.
Jake racked his brain for anywhere the boy would be. Would he be near the school? Jake wasn't sure why Riki would be around there, but he had to try, just in case.
Turning down the street the school was on, Jake paid closer attention to his surroundings. He scanned every persons face who he passed, and if he couldn't see their faces, he scanned their mannerisms. Still nothing.
He continued down street after street, eventually coming down one that seemed quite residential. There wasn't anyone around, so he was able to slow his car down, and have a proper look.
That's when he saw him.
Right in the middle of the street, Riki fending off three different guys. Blood pouring down his face, knuckles bruised. The other guys in pretty similar states.
Jake slammed on the breaks; jumping immediately out of the car. "Riki!" He screamed, sprinting over to the bloody boy. He was shocked at how he locked eyes with the younger, but he didn't stop fighting, throwing another punch at one of the guys who had stopped because of Jake. "Riki stop!"
He didn't stop.
Jake pushed past the boys, roughly grabbing a hold of Riki's collar. "Stop doing this!"
"They fucked everything up! They have to pay!" Riki shoved Jake back, instantly head butting one of the guys, and kicking him in the stomach.
Another boy ran towards Riki, about to swing, when Jake pushed him away. "This is ridiculous Riki! It won't fix anything!"
"Just stay out of this!" Riki shouted, wiping his wrist across his face. The blood only smeared more, crimson droplets dripping down his pale skin, due to the rain. "I have to do this!"
Most people would see him as a barbaric brute, but for Jake, this may have been the most vulnerable he had ever seen Riki. He could tell he really felt responsible. He blamed them, but also, blamed himself. This complex of needing to avenge his friends, wouldn't be there, unless he felt guilty, and partially at fault, for what happened.
"Riki-"
Jake flinched at the blaring sound of a siren, he could see the reflection of blue and red lights in Riki's eyes.
"We need to get out of here!" One of the boys yelled, harshly pushing Riki to the ground. The three boys bolted down the street, hoping over a fence, and out of sight.
Jake crouched down to Riki's level, quickly helping the boy up. There was no time to run anymore.
"Hands where I can see them!"

"Arrested?!"
"Yes arrested."
Sunghoon really couldn't comprehend that Riki, and more shockingly Jake, had ended up in a prison cell. Only ten minutes ago, had he received a call from Jay, telling him to get to the police station. Some would have said it was obvious, but this wasn't a usual occurrence for the group. It's not like any of them had ever been arrested before.
"How the hell did they get arrested?!" Mi-Sun questioned, just as confused as Sunghoon.
"Arrested?! Wait, did Riki get arrested?!" Sunoo's squeal caught all of their attentions, eyes flickering to the final two boys approaching.
It was still raining, so the two quickly ran under the cover of the station. They all looked a mess, their wet hair, and soggy clothes, leaving them looking like a bunch of drowned rats.
"Yes Riki got arrested." Jay sighed, how many times would they have to repeat themself? "And Jake too."
"Jake too?!" Heeseung nearly choked. "What happened?"
"Riki went to fight with the boys who exposed you guys; took three on all by himself." Jungwon explained, letting out a sigh after. He really wished his friend wouldn't do such stupid things. "Jake tried to stop him, but Riki kept fighting. Someone from the neighborhood must have called the cops I assume."
"I feel bad Jake got roped into this mess." Sunghoon said, glancing through the glass doors of the police station. Were Riki and Jake really in there? It didn't feel real.
"I shouldn't have asked you guys to look, I had a hunch something like this would happen." Heeseung groaned, running his hand through his wet hair, sweeping back the damp strands. "Jake doesn't deserve this."
Mi-Sun shook her head, walking over to her boyfriend, she placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hunch or no hunch, you still couldn't have known this would happen. You were only looking out for Riki, and I'm glad, who knows what could have happened if Jake wasn't there." She turned to the rest of the group. "We all wen't searching for Riki because we care about him, not because you forced us. Right everyone?"
The group let out a mix of hums.
"See, we're in agreement. Lets not dwell on what we could have/should have done. Riki and Jake are currently in that station, and we need to do something about it."
"Okay I agree with you, but why are you here?" Sunoo asked his sister, realizing that she hadn't been one of the ones Heeseung called.
"I asked her to search for Riki with me." Sunghoon answered for Mi-Sun. "I thought that if I found Riki, he would probably listen to her better than he would with me."
Heeseung narrowed his eyes. "I didn't want her involved in this, since I correctly assumed it would get dangerous."
"Yeah? So you can drag my boyfriend into something dangerous with no problem?" Sunghoon hissed, receiving a little nudge from Sunoo.
"Okay no bickering please." Mi-Sun snapped, shutting down the conflict real quick. Everyone was grumpy; it was late, people were stressed, they were all soaking wet. If they didn't control themselves, they would all end up screaming at each other. "How about we get inside, and talk to someone? We're of no use to Riki and Jake out here."
"Do we just bail them out? Is that how this works?" Jungwon questioned, following behind Mi-Sun to the station door.
"I'm guessing so."
