10:13 a.m

"Why didn't you wake me up?" She comes to the kitchen, as I'm preparing the breakfast for us, while rubbing her eyes with her small hands. I smile looking at her morning face that I missed a lot. "I'm late to my office again." She stands in front of the kitchen counter to face me as she shows her adorable smile to me.

I pass the kitchen counter and get near her to embrace her while pressing a soft kiss on her forehead. "Can you not go to the office today?" I look with a sad expression like a kid, hoping she gives in to me. "Hm?"

"Should I not go?" She squints her eyes while contemplating my request, making me smile. I shake my head desperately to her question and she chuckles, making me chuckle too. "What if I go now and return back early?" I get sad again. "Like really early. I'll be back at around one itself. Hm?"

"Alright." I kiss her forehead again, feeling the need to pamper her with lots of kisses. "It's okay if you're late too but I just want you to have me in your mind." I press soft kisses on both of her cheeks and her smile blesses my eyes and soul, as she nods to my answer.

"You're always in my mind even if you tell me not to think about you." She pecks my lips and pulls it back in an instant but I kiss her again, not wanting to hold back.

I embrace her upper lip with my lips as she is embracing my lower lip with her soft ones as we're giving some love to each other's lips by caressing it gently with our lips. This connection brings a comforting warmth to my body that makes me go crazy in a good way.

The smoke alarm starts beeping all of a sudden, making us break the kiss that I did not want to end. I look at the kitchen and shit, I left the water boiling and now, the whole kitchen is slightly smoky. I hurry inside the kitchen, turn off the induction stove and look back to find her but she isn't there.

A second later, she comes in while struggling to carry a stool with her as the alarm is still beeping. I go near her and take it from her hand, for me to carry them instead. "There." She points at the fire alarm at the ceiling of the kitchen. "Just take the batteries off, else this sound won't stop." I nod at her words and get on the stool to do what she told me to.

I take out the battery from the fire alarm and as soon as the beeping sound stops, she starts laughing softly. "This isn't a joke, Iris. Stop laughing." I get down from the stool but she doesn't stop laughing, making me laugh too, being intoxicated with her laugh. "Stop, I'm embarrassed." I place the battery on the kitchen counter and get near her to flick her forehead gently, making sure she doesn't get hurt by it.

"Alright, I'll stop." She says, rubbing her forehead that I flicked, but contradicts her statement by still laughing. I shake my head, getting too embarrassed and trying to hold in my laughter at my own stupidness.

"Okay, stop." I get back to the kitchen and get the avocado toast which I prepared, that she used to eat often for breakfast, and place it on the coffee table in the living room as she follows me. She finally stops laughing and hugs me, burying her face on my chest and having her arms around my waist. I do not resist and wrap my arms around her waist too, to get her even more closer to me.

"I love you." She pecks my clothed chest, making my heart beat faster than it should normally.

"I love you too." I peck the crown of her head as I return those beautiful words to her. She breaks the hug to look at me and we share a little glance before she makes herself comfortable on the couch, taking the plate of toast in her hand.
