7."i wasnt supposed to fall for you"

Marriage is a bond between two people,a promise to be together until the end of time.

But in Thomas Shelby's case,it was just a business deal.He married her because she became a part of a business deal with her father

Tommy didn't even bother to see the woman's face.He said yes to the deal by his choice but he never cared enough and still planned to live the same life except just have a woman in his house

Y/n didn't care too.She knew who the man was who she now was calling her,her husband.Her father gave her everything so she decided to do this to give him a thank you for his favours

Also maybe because her father looked sad when she first said no which she couldn't bare to see.So she said yes to marry him

Tommy had only seen her once.She was riding a horse in her backyard,on the green hills.His ego said she was a no one.But deep inside his heart was trying to tell him that she was so beautiful

Tommy's mind was saying she was nothing,and she's would matter,but his heart said she would change his life

She had never seen him though.Expect on the marriage day,when he lifted her veil,she looked straight into his eyes.Tommy's face expressions were cold but she looked so beautiful that day

Both their faces had a dull look,this was nothing but a compromise.So he put the veil down,said their vows and married each other

Y/n felt beyond abandoned in Tommy's house.She felt stuck.She used to be in her separate room,or in the library of his house,standing on ladders and reading every single book he had there

Tommy used to come home late at night and used to simply take his whiskey bottle and shut himself in his office

Y/n used to see him sometimes.Tommy used to see her exploring the house,looking at the paintings with an interested face.He used to stare at her for a minute before he used to leave again

It was nighttime.Tommy still wasn't back from work.Y/n was in the library,standing on a small table and taking out books from shelves and keeping them in her hand.

She heard the front door open and close.Tommy was home.She expected him to go in his office and not meet her but surprisingly he came in the library

The door opened and he walked in but stopped when he saw her there.Her hair loosely tied,a strand coming on her face,her amber eyes now looking at him

"I need your signs on a document"he cleared his throat and removed his eyes from hers.He walked to her and handed her a file.She brought her hand forward asking him for a pen ever so fearlessly.He looked at her for a second before giving her a pen from his coat pocket

She sighed the contract not caring to read it,handed it to him and went back to taking out a few books

"Don't you care enough to read what it was?"he kept the file on a table beside him and put his hands in his pockets,staring up at her

"Not really.It's either business or divorce papers.I wouldn't really mind if I was signing on any of them"she sighed and kept down a few books on the table and got back up to take out some more

Tommy watched her actions with careful eyes.Y/n was tall to reach out to books on shelves above but she needed a book from the top shelf.She stood on her tip toes and tried to take a book from the top shelf

"Careful"he said carelessly in a non chalant tone like he didn't care but just pretended like he did

"Im fine I just need a book"she stretched out but felt the stood wobble immediately and her foot slipped almost making her fall down but Tommy grabbed her immediately before she could fall

His arms held her waist tightly and her hands were on his shoulders,her eyes looking down at him with shock.She breathed heavily and couldn't even move for a minute

Tommy looked up at her,their noses almost touching at the closeness.

"I apologise"she said pulling herself away from him.She got down from the stool and grabbed her books walking out of the library hitting her forehead with her hand feeling embarrassed while Tommy just stood there silently,confused by a weird flick that happened in his heart

That day made them both confused.Something ignited when they touched each other and they had no idea what.

A few days had went by and it was 5:00 in the morning currently.She wasn't able to sleep because she didn't hear the front door close

Believe it or not she didn't sleep because Tommy wasn't home

So she got out of bed and went out to the stable.She walked in to see Tommy's white horse,'the beautiful secret' there

She smiled and softly touched the hoof of the horse making it neigh excitedly.She noticed it wanted to go out in the fresh air so she took the hose to the hills right in front of the house

The horse stood at one place and enjoyed the fresh air with her.She was staring silently at the sunrise in front with a smile.The horse quietly ate the grass of the ground

The door of the House opened and Tommy walked in.He sighed tiredly and put down his hat and coat.

He could hear the neighing of his horse coming from outside grabbing his attention.Tommy looked around a little and then walked to the big window of his lobby

He saw y/n standing there rubbing his horses nose,smiling ear to ear.His cold look softened,he forgot everything for a moment and just looked at her.The way her eyes glowed,the way her hair became golden with the light of the sun from behind

He was seeing her in a whole new way.

Maybe was even falling for her?
