They were all bugging him in every way

He was on his way for a press conference at an open court.All politicians were there representing there parties,there problems and issues

He clearly didn't want to attend because he had better things to do but he went.A large amount of audience was sitting in front of the stage on chairs

The politicians all sitting on the stage on chairs.Tommy sighing inwardly waited for this to be over

"Now we have a special guest with us today.A woman,the first ever one to be a leader and a member of the parliament.Please give a hand to Miss y/n l/n!"the announcer said and the crowd clapped for her

Tommy,who was busy thinking about his business back in town was snapped from his trance.Looking to his side,he saw her walking up to the stage

All eyes were on her

All of them

Yet somehow she only locked her eyes to those blue ones.Among hundreds of people....

She only noticed his gaze

Reaching up to the podium.She removed her black glasses and put them in her coat.Smiling from the corner of her lips at the audience clapping she nodded and spoke

"Good evening to all.Thank you for giving such an honourable applause for me"she chuckled.Tommy removing his glasses quietly listens to her

She cleared her throat and looked at the page on her podium.Her speech

She sighed and crumbled the page in her hand and threw it away.The people of the crowd looking at with confused eyes.

"You know....I'm standing here today,with a title given to me.First ever woman parliamentary member"she paused licking her lips thinking of what to say

"I should feel proud.I should've felt glad.But...why did it take so long to have a woman standing where I am.The government was formed decades ago.Centuries ago.But then again.....why wasn't a woman given the right to stand where a man first stood"

"I'm here so that from now there's no first for a woman.So that we start with something new.For all the mothers,sisters and wives out there...who haven't been given the right to be what they wanted to be"

"When women are the embodiment of power,wealth and intelligence....what makes men feel so superior?"

The crowd broke out in cheers and applause for her.The politicians all clapped there hands for her.Y/n smiled from the corner of her lips and thanked into the mic and walked away.

She got down from the stage and walked away from them all,but only took a short glimpse at that blue eyed devil she was so intrigued to see again.

"I'm really glad you could come today.Your speech was truly amazing"a woman named May Carlton spoke

"Thank you very much"y/n smiled politely

"I'm no politician to judge anyone but your speech was sure better than others"y/n gave her a nod of acknowledgment

May excused herself and left,y/n bid her goodbye and wore her coat to leave just when someone stopped her

"A good speech you gave"his husky deep voice spoke.Turning her head she saw the same man.Y/n's heart skipped a beat and she felt weird when it happened

"Thank you"she plainly replied still trying to figure out who he was

"Thomas Shelby"he brought his hand forward,she shook it back

"Ah MP OBE"she recognised him.On hearing about him she thought he would be some fat old man but she never imagined him to be what he was.

"I've heard a lot about you.You're the leader of the peaky blinders?"

"Yes"he cleared his throat talking out his gold antique case of cigarettes.

"Always wanted to learn more about you infamous Shelby brothers.Heard you handle business on races too?"

Tommy not wanting to answer so many questions still replied because the curiosity on her face got he better of him

"Yes we do"he blew out smoke from his mouth.

"Call me by sometime Mr Shelby,I'll be interested to know more,got myself two horses and would like to get them trained by someone in your business"she smiled politely wearing her hat back on her head

Tommy looked at her up and down seeing that she wasn't wearing ordinary dresses like any woman,but was In well ironed and clean suit with a gold dangling pocket watch

It was rather intriguing

"It was pleasure to talk to you Mr Shelby.I hope we can meet again"she said.Tommy gave her a nod and she returned it gladly and walked past him

The air was still for a long minute

He could smell her scent in the air

Something in him flipped the moment he laid eyes on her
