58.Shouldn't have fallen for you 2

Tommy bursted into his office and slammed the door behind so loudly,it could almost break it.He immediately took the whiskey bottle instead of pouring some in the glass like the controlled drinking he normally does

He sat down on his leather seat behind his desk and opened the bottle taking a big gulp of the fiery liquid.It burned horribly but he didn't give two shits at the moment

Tommy stared down at the desk.His eyes were staring at a white paper hidden under all the sheets scattered on his desk

His hands slowly reached for it and he opened it.His heart shattered and flipped at the same time seeing a picture of y/n in it

He remembered very clearly

"Your office...it's clean"

"That a problem tommy?"y/n chuckled pouring some whiskey in a glass for the both of them.She watched as he walked around in the room examining every single detail he could find about her

She smiled to herself and put his glass down at the table.Tommy's feet stopped when he saw a folded white paper that seemed to have some kind of picture in it

He took it in his hand and opened it.His heart skipped a beat at seeing a picture of y/n laughing ear to ear,standing in wheat fields with her hair flowing it the air.

He tried his best not to smile

"You're smiling here.Rarely ever see it"tommy cleared his throat when he noticed she was standing beside him

"I could say the same to you.And yes.That picture was taken long ago.I was the happiest I ever was back then"

"Before France?"

"Before France"she nodded putting her lips in a thin line.Tommy looked down at her and they locked eyes and then he looked back at the picture

"You like it?Have it"she chuckled taking the picture and folding it and putting it inside his coat before he could even protest

"I don't-

"It's a gift.So that you'll remember me every time you're in trouble Mr Shelby"she mocked his name.And that's when she saw the smile on his face

Tommy actually smiled with the corner of his lips,imagining the moment.His smile faded,reality hit him.His thoughts started running thousand miles per hour

He sat up and opened his drawer.He took out a file from the drawer and ruffled through the pages in search for it

He then saw it

The file Alfie gave him when they met a few days ago,it had a list of people who would buy the faberg egg.He looked through the list finding a name excluded from it

He asked for the same list from the jewellers and that's when he knew

"Alfie"Tommy said,his mouth opened a gap.He stood up from his chair and ran out of his office.

At the moment he just wanted to see y/n.How could he do that?How could he accuse her of this without hearing her explanation?

He felt so guilty and he only imagined her teary eyes.It broke him to pieces

He ran through the damp wet streets in the cold rain,he did not care if he gets wet or sick.He found the stable bulb was still on

He breathed in relief and rushed inside.

"Y/n!"he shouted for her but he didn't find her there.Tommy looked around in impatience.

"Y/n!"he shouted again and looked around.His eyes went to her horse who was trying to tell him to look somewhere

The horse neighed moving his head to the left.Tommy looked back and saw her

She was standing near a small pond near the stable,her back was facing him and she stood still there

"Y/n"he whispered and ran out of the stable.He  approached her slowly not wanting to startle her

"Y/n"Tommy said.Y/n turned her head and Tommy's soul shattered at seeing her.Her eyes were red like she cried.She looked away from him back to the scenery

"Y/n it was Alfie.It wasn't you and I didn't listen to you not once.I-I have no explanation for my actions and I....I fucked up y/n im sorry.I know you won't trust me after this ever again but I want you to know...when I said I fell for you I wasn't wrong.I pushed away someone I loved the most"tears rolled down from y/n's eyes at his words

She turned her head and stared at him,she wiped away her tear,his face softened and he walked towards her slowly

"I love you y/n I'm sorry"he touched her cheek caressing it softly.Lifting her chin up,he looked down at her face now wet in the rain.The moon hiding behind the clouds glistened the side of her face and reflected her features perfectly

Her pouty lips looked so soft.He could almost get lost in her eyes

"I...love you too tommy"he smiled a little and leaned down closer to her face.Y/n closed her eyes when he barely touched her lips

They placed a soft kiss and she pulled away just a little to see his features.Tommy's eyes were closed in bliss

Just the slightest touch made him speechless.Opening his eyes he caught her looking

"God you're beautiful"he whispered.And entangling her hands around his neck she kissed him and he kissed her back

He locked his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to his chest.

She could feel his beating heart below her palm

It was beautiful
