Cold breeze of the rainy gloom, the common weather in Gotham, flowed around in the air passing through crowds of people, rustling leaves on its way.

She enjoyed this weather. It was soothing and comforting. She smiled to herself a little and entered the book store.

A small shop with lots of books that were of only her interest. It was a shop in the less crowded area of Gotham. There were many books of science, the study of Brain,Alzheimer's,diseases caused by the damaging of the brain and so much more.

Anyone who used to come there was assumed to have a sad story but she only came for interest. In the empty shop with only a man sitting at the counter, she grazed her fingers through the books.

She turned to the shelf behind her and started looking at anything of her interest. She found a book of her interest and smiled as she saw it.She brought out her hand to take it just then it disappeared and was taken by someone on the other end of the shelf

"Hey!"she scolded in shock and anger. The man looked up from the book and from between the small crack of the empty shelf she saw his eyes.

It took her breath away, they were blue like the crystal ocean. As clear as the ocean untouched.

He looked up only to meet chocolate brown eyes, they were appearing golden by the sun rays outside. Her brown her being emitted in the golden rays and almond skin appearing like a soft silk sheet

"Yes?"he finally asked after moments of staring. She snapped out of her trance and scoffed

"I was about to get that book and you just took it!"she put her hands on her waist. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked down at the book in his hands

"Well you were late because I got it before you"he said in a nonchalant voice empty of any emotion. He turned and started walking towards the counter

She scoffed and walked to the end of the shelf and rushed towards the counter.

"Well you did get it before me but-"she stammered when she saw his full face turn towards her

"But what?"he asked looking up and down her face.God she was phenomenal. The most beautiful creature he had ever seen amongst those he had tortured or well just ever seen

"I want that book"she says sternly and her stubbornness made him raise his eyebrows

"You can't because I took it first"

"That's not fair!"

"You two!I have another one in the back!"the man on the counter shouted. The two looked at him.

"You know what I don't need it now"she shrugged and gave her books to the man and paid for the ones she already had.

"So even you have an interest for psychology and the study of the brain?"the blue eyed man said eyeing the books she was buying

"Yes and I would've really liked that book but it does not matter now does it"she scoffed at the man taking the bag of books and walked past him getting out of the shop

Jonathan stood in the same position with his arm leaning on the counter. All he was focusing on was her intoxicating smell. He could tell a lot about a person by there smell and scent

And her.....oh he definitely needed her as a subject.

"Feisty am I right?"the man on the counter sighed.Jonathan eyed the man with an expressionless cold face and the man took his books and started to ring them

Jonathan looked away and sighed again.

"So she has an interest for psychology"he thought. She had definitely ringed an interest within him like a chanting bell in the far distant cloud mountains and he was the sole person standing there.

"You've got to have her Johnny boy"grinned scarecrow.

Y/n had a long day today. From working to buying lunch, then working, then buying books and meeting this dork like but very handsome man

She slapped herself slightly to get her mind out of the mud and to stop thinking about that man again and again.

It was nighttime now and she was on her way to her car,her boots clicking against the cobble wet ground, splashing sounds of the water filling her ears with police sirens far off in the city

She sighed and opened the door to her car keeping inside her books and groceries. She closed the door and went to the front door to open it but she heard something

A stone,a very small cobble stone was thrown her way.She watched as it fell on her feet and she turned around to see where it came from

But she saw only a dark alleyway that led to nothingness. It was so black,as black as the pupils of her eyes.

A chill ran down her spine as she slowly turned her eyes away. She held the car door and was about to open when another stone flew right at her feet

She gasped slightly and turned again, her loosely tied hair opening because of how fast she turned. She looked here and there but saw nothing in the darkness

She removed her hand from the door handle and walked towards the alley, staring down in it.

It felt like an empty dark halo of nothing but fear. She looked around to see something which was the source of throwing that stone but found nothing

"Whoever it is you're not getting away with this shit if you don't stop!"she shouted in hope to hear something but nothing came back

She could hear nothing. She let out a breath and turned around when her breath hitched in her throat and her heart dropped in her chest giving her waves of anxiety and shock

For behind her was a man....in a brown mask, with stitches on it and his piercing blue eyes visible from the holes.

He was.....a scarecrow

"Who-

"Sorry darling"a deep and husky yet smooth voice spoke.Just then she was met with a hard blow on her head with his briefcase and everything went purely

Black.
