10." I thought i was the only one"

They say love is the greatest power on earth.It can shatter hearts,it brainwashed people to do things they never knew they were capable of doing

It can break the soul of even the strongest man and can even break the heart of even the strongest woman on earth.

In this case,her heart was the one that broke

When an outer force comes in between two people,it shatters their love in pieces.Grace burgess,a betrayer,an agent who was sent to small Heath only to know Tommy's secrets but fell in love with him

Y/n and Tommy were once together.They left each other because Tommy was always busy in his business,he used to feel broken whenever he used to see her waiting till 3:00 in the morning for him.

So when things started to become a load they decided to break their relationship.Yet Tommy insisted she still stays in touch with him because he needed someone to help him during his dark days and only she was the medicine to his wounds

And just like any woman deeply in love,she said yes.

Y/n was still in love.Their was no denying in that,but her world shattered when she saw another woman with Tommy

Grace took the job as a barmaid,in the garrison pub.Y/n knew when she first saw her that grace was trying to woo Tommy.Her sudden appearance made suspicion rise in y/n's heart

But it got worse when she noticed Tommy slowly starting to give in.Curiosity turned into pain,a horrible feeling that no one can handle.

Y/n started to feel worse and worse every day.She once saw Tommy and grace kiss and it made her stomach turn.So she stopped seeing Tommy and from time to time,they never saw each other again.

Months went by and Tommy always wondered about y/n despite being with grace.

"What are you thinking about?"grace said sneaking her hand on his shoulder and leaning her head against his chest.Tommy didn't give in for some reason

His mind was too occupied

"Tommy?"grace looked up at him when she didn't receive an answer.Tommy still didn't say anything and pulled himself away

"I'll see you tomorrow grace,got some business to attend too"he cleared his throat and walked out of the pub onto the dusty muddy streets

It started to rain and Tommy drenched himself in the water.He didn't care at this point.His mine was his greatest enemy and it certainly was torturing him by thinking about y/n so much

His thoughts came to a stop when he saw a familiar figure by the corner of the street.His eyes immediately softened and his heart increased its pace.

It was y/n

She was standing against the wall,leaning on it with a cigarette in her mouth.She was drenched in rain and just like him she didn't care

Tommy slowly approached her.She could hear footsteps beside her and when she turned her head a little she saw Tommy now standing in front of her

"Always a pleasure Tommy"she chuckled dryly.Tommy noticed how hoarse,tired and cold her voice sounded.Something was not right

"It's been long since I've seen you y/n.And I know you did that on purpose.Why?"Y/n sucked in a breath of her cigarette and blew out smoke from her mouth without saying anything

Tommy looked at her features,she looked tired,pale but her beauty still didn't disappear

"I dunno.Just had some things to do"she gave him an indirect answer.Tommy knew there was only one way he was getting it out of her

So he grabbed her arm and pulled her to his chest startling her,making the cigarette fall on the ground.Tommy grabbed her waist so that she wouldn't pull away

"Tell me"he said in a stern voice and any person who knew what Tommy Shelby was capable off would've said the answer at once but she still didn't speak

"No"she replied fearlessly and he tightened his grip on her waist.

"Tell me"he said again.She grunted a little trying to pull away from him but it was of no use.He was way too strong

"I would rather get cut by your blade Tommy"she looked into his eyes with anger,hatred and sadness all mixed together giving him the answer he needed

"I want to hear it y/n.Tell me why did you not see me?For so many months I only wished to see you,and like an idiot I thought you would come when you were too busy pushing yourself away.Are you seeing someone?"he huffed.Y/n shook her head in disbelief

"Fine.You wanna hear why?I pushed myself away from you because I Still fucking love you Tommy.And it hurts to see you with someone else and since you won't leave grace I thought to leave you.And I know our relationship is over and we have nothing and I have no right to tell you anything but I just can't help it tommy because I'm madly in love with you and you-

Tommy shut her up by placing his lips on hers.It shocked her beyond anything but at the moment she only kissed him back

Oh how he missed her

He cupped her cheek and kissed her with all the love he had saved in his heart for her.Y/n understood his feelings without him saying anything.

When they pulled away tommy kept stroking her cheek with his thumb and leaned his forehead on hers

"I thought I was the only one"
