69.Rest in peace my darling

Y/n sat beside her bed,staring down at her daughter who was slowly fading away.She watched her daughters face..and how pale she looked in her sleep.

Y/n took in a shaky breath and held her hand.She put her hand to her forehead and muttered a slow prayer

"God,Save my daughter"she said.Y/n heard the door to the room open.She could hear slow footsteps getting closer to her

She knew who was standing behind her for se recognised the smell.

"Doctors said they'll perform the gold salt surgery tomorrow"y/n sniffled.Tommy looked down at his daughter and y/n

The charm in her eyes was gone.The Ruby that once welcomed her father home with excitement and happiness was now weak

"I'm going to the mountains today.I need to find a solution for this"

"Tommy the doctors will do what they can"y/n said.Tommy let out a shallow breath

"I have to do what I can"he said.Y/n stood up from her chair and turned around to see him.Tommy saw her eyes red like blood,glistening with tears

"You can't blame yourself for this Tommy...you can't take all the load on yourself"tommy let out a shaky breath

"I will.....because I'm loosing hope"he said truthfully.Y/n looked into his eyes and grabbed her husbands hand

"You can't.You can't loose hope Tommy...she doesn't want you too"y/n sobbed.Tommy touched her cheek and stroked it with his thumb

"I'll be going"he leaned his forehead on hers and pulled away.Y/n didn't want him to leave and held onto his gloved hand but he knew he had to pull away and that she had to let him go for their daughter

Y/n closed her eyes as Tommy left the room.She let a tears drop down from her eyes.

"Polly"y/n whispered.She was alone in the room with just Ruby sleeping on the bed.Y/n closed her eyes

"Polly...I-I hear you"

Tommy was on his way back from the mountains.He met esme...he did everything he could with all the power he had in himself

It was raining heavily at the hospital.

Y/n was sitting on the stairs drenched in the rain,her eyes dead and red.Hands shaking even with the support of her leaned on them on the concrete stairs

She saw the car pull up,it yellow light blinding her eyes.She looked up and saw him get out of the car

"Y/n?!Is Ruby alright?!"he rushed to her.Y/n looked into his eyes,Tommy then got the answer to his question.

"She's gone tommy"

His heart dropped.He knew those words would come but he developed hope that they wouldn't.Tommy Shelby had hope for once but it was useless

His mouth was open agape.Endless thoughts that used to run through his mind were all empty now.

"Our baby...she's..gone.They wrote in the report...time of death 5:17"y/n let out a choked sob.Tommy felt numb,his legs gave up and he sat beside her in the cold rain

"She said..."take good care of daddy"

Tommy closed his eyes.Y/n broke out in tears leaning her head in her hands.Tommy couldn't do anything else than grab ahold of her and hug her

He held her so tight hoping that the pain would go because it was torturing him

"It's all my fault...she's with the dead now it's-it's my fucking fault"tommy voice sounded fragile like he would breakdown any second

Y/n looked up into her husbands eyes

"Ruby's not with the dead Tommy.I heard Polly's voice....she said she has Ruby now"

"And that our beautiful daughter is now sleeping peacefully on her lap"y/n cried at the end of the sentence.

Tommy let out a quiet sob,his tears falling down on the ground.

"Polly is taking care of our daughter Tommy.She's lookin after her..."

"My daughter is at peace"
