Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha.
Chapter Four:
I stared at him like I would kill him if he made a sound. While he just smirked. Was he happy about me staying here? I don't know why he would be, I mean I'm just a person who annoys.
"You just played me." I said now glaring. Him and Xerin just laughed.
"It's all in what you believe, darling." Zev said enunciating 'darling' knowing I'd get pissed. "And you have some knowledge of what we are. So you have to stay and that's an order."
"How do you know I won't run away?" I asked.
"One because you have nowhere to run to, two because you wouldn't get very far." Zev said.
"Says the over possessive animal." I muttered under my breath.
"I'm just gonna pretend I didn't hear that." He said now glaring at me.
"Chill, Zev." Xerin said. I sighed and looked around. Great, just great. Stuck with the Alpha.
"Well, this was easier than I thought." Zev said. "I've got a date with my girl, so have fun Silver and don't get into any trouble." Zev said standing up. I laughed.
"I'm quite surprised you even have a girlfriend." I said. "But you must treat her like she's the only thing that matters in your world."
"Is that jealousy I sense Silver?" Zev smirked.
"Me? Jealous? Of what?" I laughed again and shook my head. "Go attend your girlfriend."
"Do not order me around like you own me." Zev growled.
"Ok, ok, don't bite my head off." I said throwing my hands up in surrender.
"Oh, I'm not the one you have to worry about." Zev grinned deviously and walked out the room leaving me with Xerin.
"I don't know what he's talking about but I'm scared." I said.
"You should be." He said and stood up. "Werewolves have short tempers and no patience." Xerin said. "Piss one off and you've got hell coming." he headed to the door.
"Hey!" I called he turned and looked at me annoyed.
"What?" he asked.
"What am I supposed to do here?" I asked. He paused and thought.
"I don't want you getting in trouble, so just come with me." I grinned and jumped up. He sighed. "Why do I feel like I'm gonna regret this?"
Oh you will boy, you will regret all you've done. My evil conscious grinned deviously.
And that's why I love my brain. We headed out the parlor and the house we were in seemed more lively. There were actually a lot of people living here.
"What is this place?" I asked looking around.
"It's the packhouse." he said and smiled. "The elderly, the pregnant, and the needy live here. And most importantly the Alpha and his family."
"Can't females be Alpha's?" I asked. He looked down at me.
"That's only happened once or twice. It's very rare for women to be Alpha's. Though it can happen." He said. "I think its better women are not Alpha's. They seem to think they run everything."
"Does that upset you?" I asked smirking.
"Of course not! I like dominate women. But I dislike women who think they can over dominate something they can't." He said.
