Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha

Chapter Nineteen:

~ Silver's POV ~

As much as everyone objected there was no way they could win. I had too much authority and waaay too much power. Besides, I only trusted 4 human beings.

"You do know what this could cause?" They asked. I shrugged.

"If we appear as humans, nothing should go wrong."

"It's too many children!" Kayla said her glare fierce. But none of it fazed me.

"There's nothing you can do to stop me from protecting these children. I have a house, a really nice sized house that can hold all of the children. Trust me." I said. Kayla still didn't back down.

"I don't care. I refuse to let my Alpha allow humans to watch over our werewolf children." She said.

"I don't care what you think. It's not about you; it's about saving their lives and keeping them from witnessing the brutal force of the Ice Pack. You heard Zev they're not gonna show mercy, they're ruthless. I swore to defend my pack with my life. MY LIFE. Meaning I would take extreme and extraordinary measures to protect my pack. I'm doing it now. Whether you're in or not. We're taking these children and we will have my four trustworthy friends watch over the children until the war is over." I said. "And that is final." There was silence and I turned to a contemplating Zev. "Do you trust me?"

"Of course I trust you."

"Then why won't you believe in me?" I asked.

"It's forbidden for a werewolf to have relations with any human being." He said.

"It must not be too forbidden. I lived a human life, there's still an ounce of human in me." I said. "If it's so forbidden then why are we talking?" He closed his eyes. Kelliot put a hand on Zev's shoulder.

"She has a point Zev. I mean what's the worst that could happen?" Kelliot asked.

"Yeah, I mean remember when we first got Silver? She told her friends that she'd seen us and none of her friends said anything about werewolves since." Sinn said. Zev squeezed his eyes shut and took a deep breath. When his beautiful eyes opened he looked at me.

"Silver... if anything goes wrong. I will never be able to forgive you." He said his eyes hard.

"Zev, the only way something could go wrong is if I die." I promised then turned away. "And I definitely don't plan on dying."

I walked in my house and looked around. Nothing has changed since I've been here and it's been a while. I picked up the phone and dialed my friend's numbers and told them to come over the house. They didn't waste any time with coming over, Zev, Rowan, Vladdy and Kayla were with me sitting around the house.

"Wow, you lived in a house this big by yourself?" Rowan asked looking around.

"Mom and dad made sure I stayed comfortable." I said smiling a little. The doorbell rang and I was at the door within seconds. I opened it just to be tackled by Kevin, Marisa, Rodney and Jess.

"OH MY GOD! SILVER!" Marisa and Jess screamed squeezing me tight. I chuckled and stood up.

"Hey guys." I smiled. They let go and stood back and eye balled me.

"You look different..." Kevin and Rodney announced. I nodded.

"I am. But I can't really go into detail..." I said and looked over at Zev, Vladdy, and Rowan and Kayla.

"Just tell them, but also tell them the consequences." Zev said. My friends pointed to where my other friends were at.

"Who are they?"

"I'll explain everything." I said. "Come in and make yourself comfortable." I smiled.

I told my best friends everything that was going on and what I am. And I mean everything. I told them that if they told anyone about werewolves and the existence of werewolves they'd have to be killed. I told them that if they did tell anyone I wouldn't be able to help. I'd face the consequences of watching them be killed. And I don't want to. I also told them that I'd be bringing little children over to stay in my house for the time being.
"Kids!" Marisa and Jess said happily. I nodded.

"But keep in mind they're not regular kids." I said.

"They'll be sleep most of the time." Zev said sitting next to me. Vladdy and Kayla were standing next to each other too while Rowan sat on the other side of me.

"They're very respectful at all times and quiet. So you won't have to worry about discipline." Rowan said. They nodded.

"I should have believed you..." Kevin said frowning. I smiled wryly.

"It's ok. I mean it's not like you could have done anything. I'm a werewolf; my parents and my brother are too."

"That explains why you are so freaking gorgeous!" Jess said. I smiled and blushed a little.

"Nah, she's not gorgeous cause she's a werewolf." Zev said. "She's gorgeous cause she's a Royale." That made me grin.

"It's about time you learned something about me!" We all just chuckled at that. I sighed.

"It's good knowing you're ok. We didn't know what to think." Marisa said. I sighed.

"I'm gonna miss you guys." I frowned.

"We're gonna miss you too. But hopefully we can still meet every Friday at the waterfall like old times?" Rodney asked. I nodded.

"Always."

We left my home and began bringing the lovely children over to stay for the 2 days. I stayed at the packhouse to explain everything to the teenagers and adults. They pretty much looked at me like I was crazy.

"We can't just find our mates and keep moving!" A girl called.

"Don't ever say you can't do anything. Can't comes from the word Can and anyone in the Royale territory can do any and everything." I said.

"What about our children? How can we trust your human friends?" A grown woman asked.

"You can trust them. They've sworn an oath to protect the werewolf children with their lives." I said. There were surprised remarks from them.

"Do you think we can win?" A male asked.

"I know we can win. I just need the females to stop being nervous and find your mate." I said firmly.

"How long do we have?"

"Two days." I said. With that everyone began packing up and moving out and searching. To be honest it made me quite happy to see everyone was eager. I helped around with everyone else and moved everything around and got everyone to where Zev said we're gonna be camping out at.

Everything was out of the packhouse by the time we came back. It was dead silent and empty. Though everyone's things remained there we only took the things we would need. Looking at it now, it was quite depressing to look inside again. I went in the room that I used to be in and felt the question hanging in the air. I sighed and inhaled. I have to let Zev know. I have to tell him we're mates. Whether I like it or not, I refuse to let him die in war.

I refuse.
