Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha
Chapter Twenty Two:
War.
~ Silver's POV ~
I woke up and felt like I was laying on someone. I rubbed my eyes and looked at who the bastard is. My eyes fluttered open to Zev; as soon as I was ready to glare I noticed his mark on his neck. The events of yesterday flooded back to me and I began to grin deviously. Oh yeah Zev, you're gonna get it.
'What are we supposed to be doing?' My wolf asked. You'll see. I leaned up and kissed the side of Zev's neck, not exactly on the spot of his mark. I heard him growl and his grip on my waist tightened. I leaned up again, and this time I kissed his mark which made him moan. I began to bite my lip as I thought. While I was too busy thinking I didn't realize that the boy had awaken. I heard a growl erupt from him but not a predatory growl it was more of a... sexy growl? I would say.
"Stop biting your lip." He warned. I rolled my eyes.
"Why?" I asked stubbornly.
"Because it's turning me on." He announced. I blushed and immediately stopped biting my lip. I got up off his chest.
"I'm gonna go outside..." I said. He nodded.
"I'll be out in a second."
"Mmm-kay." I said and left out the tent. I stretched and looked around. People and mates were standing outside their tents and looking dead at me. Zev came out after me and everyone began whispering and giggling secrets to each other leaving me and Zev clueless. I turned to Zev and shrugged. Me and Zev headed to nowhere in particular, we were just walking. As we were walking Zev slipped his hand in mine. I looked up at him and smiled. We headed over to the river emptied off into the fall. I sat down and stuck my feet in the water with my fingers still intertwined with Zev's fingers. I laid my head on his shoulder and sighed. "It's a nice day."
"Yeah, I know."
"So why aren't they here?" I asked. Zev smiled a little.
"We're gonna come to them." He said. I made an 'oh' face.
"Ok." I said. "When are we gonna leave?"
"Midnight." He said firmly. I nodded.
"Sounds quite reasonable." I said shrugging, just then there was the sound of crunching leaves. Me and Zev turned around on guard. "Who's there?" I asked with sooo much authority it scared me. Out of the forest came Xerin, Trix, Slade, Cade, Sinn, Kelliot, Vladdy, and Rowan. They all put their hands up in surrender. But when I saw it was them I lost my authority and slapped a smile on my face. They looked at me and Zev and observed. Their eyes dropped down to our hands.
"So it's done?" Rowan asked. I turned back to the river to hide my blush.
"I guess you could say that." I said. There were whoops and all types of other cheers. The guys sat down next to us and I could tell Zev wasn't so happy. I looked at his features, he looked disappointed and frustrated. "What's wrong?"
"It's nothing." He said avoiding my gaze. I sighed shaking my head and I looked at him. I leaned in his ear.
"What's. Wrong?" I asked again. I pulled away and looked at him once again. He still looked frustrated.
"It's nothing, Silver. Don't worry about it." He said again. I rolled my eyes.
"Don't make me have to force you to tell me." I warned. He looked at me with slightly scared eyes for a brief second.
"You're not gonna force me to do shit!" He said grinning. I pushed him and pouted. He groaned. "Stop doing stuff like that!" I grinned.
"Look here, Zev. I can do whatever I want and I will do whatever I want." I said now standing up. Zev stood up to tower over me. His big muscular frame beat my slim curvy frame. With hands on my hips I took a step forward, never backing down.
