Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha.

Chapter Twenty-Five

~Zev's POV~

The guys looked at me while I had my conversation with Silver. I miss her. I'm gonna get her back. I have to, she's not only my mate... she's my life. No matter how stubborn she is. No matter how annoying she gets, I could never bring myself to just stop liking her. God, she has me so whipped. I ran a hand through my hair and looked at the stars admiring the freedom they have. They just sit there and shine... making us wonder what it's like to be a star high in the sky. I sighed.

"Yo, what's up with you?" Cade asked nodding in my direction.

"He's grieving. Leave him alone." Sinn said bitterly. I glared in his direction.

"She's not dead." I snapped.

"How do we know that?" He asked. "That's because we don't!"

"I just talked to her." I said quietly. "She's fine." I said careful to leave out the part that she's with my aunt and uncle. That's a sensitive area. My dad only talked a little about my aunt and uncle, Florence and Aldo. I've never seen them before, and I thought that was probably because they split ways and joined other packs. Dad never wanted to talk about it so I never asked.

"Right, of course." Vex said annoyed.

"What's your problem?" I asked. He glared at me.

"Oh I don't know. My best friend is with a dude we can't trust a dude who is a complete creep when it comes to women. I really don't know what's my problem." I sighed.

"You need to relax. Everything is going to be fine." I muttered.

"RELAX?!" Vex fumed. "How can I relax?!"

"By going to sleep." I said.

"I refuse to sleep until Onyx is back in her packhouse." He said. The guys agreed.

"Why is everyone turning their backs on me?" I asked. They just glared.

"You lost her." Elliot said. "Wrong move."

"It was let her get ripped to shreds or her get kidnapped." I growled. "At least if she got kidnapped she'd still be alive and I'd be able to track her. If she were ripped to shreds then what?!" I asked angrily. They were silent. "Besides is it really my fault that Silver's not here?" I asked looking at the guys. "Huh? Cause I thought I gave orders to protect her and keep her away from the battlefield." Still silent I turned away from them. "It's not my fault."

"It's not ours either." Vex spoke up.

"The hell it's not your fault!" I growled turning around. They looked heavily surprised. "If you had followed my orders then she would have never gotten kidnapped! All I was doing was getting her away from the damn battlefield!"

"Zev-"

I glared. "I don't want to hear it. Go to sleep. And that's an order. At dawn we move out." I hate being a mean Alpha. I really do. But when they accused me of letting Silver get kidnapped that pushed me over the edge. Why would anyone accuse me of that? Why?!

~ Silver's POV ~

I stared horrified at Liam. He was pacing the room thinking, I don't know what he was thinking about exactly but I know he was thinking super hard. But that's not what had me horrified. It was the fact that he wants Zev to come. So he's gonna put me through tons of pain just to get Zev to hurry up and come here. I stared.

"Why?" I asked. "Why are you going to do this?"

"Because if anything I want Zev dead. He's the only thing that makes me think of his stupid father. So if I kill him then all the memories of his father will soon vanish, along with his body." Liam said happily.
