A/N: Really, really, really, really, short chapter. But I wanted to get something out there. Um.......... I'm actually going to start Chapter Thirty-Five, but I'm not sure I know what I'm going to come up with. Please let me know if you want the next chapter to be in Zev's POV the whole time or if you want it to be in Silver's. So, I really need feedback with comments and whatnot! Thank you all, and love you all! Enjoy.

Chapter Thirty-Four

(Three-Four Months Later)

-Silver's POV-

I walked out of my room and went to Zev's room where he was being held, I usually brought all types of things to entertain me while I was there. I never wanted to go to sleep, and if I were to go to sleep I'd sleep right next to him.

I never feel warm though.

Doc says he's not going to remember me at all.

I'm not really surprised, but I'm really hurt for sure. I don't really know what I'm going to do. All of those heartfelt memories... all of it. Gone. What are we going to do when he wakes up? And am I even still going to be his mate?

I've been wondering stuff like this a lot lately because I'm terribly afraid of it. The diary is getting more full by the day. And Winter is nearing. Christmas and New Year are just in a few weeks. I won't be participating in the Christmas/New Year party with everyone else because I just want to be with Zev. I don't really care about much of anything anymore.

Sometimes Vladdy will come and join me while I talk to Zev. He thinks that he might be able to hear us. I don't think that though. As of now, Vladdy is waiting at the door. He refuses to go in without me because he says that it's too hard for him. And I can understand that. I mean Zev is Vladdy's best friend for God's sake.

"How was your night?" Vladdy asked.

"Like it has been. Quiet and cold." I muttered. I nodded to the door and he opened it. We both walked in and saw Zev, still sitting in the same position as before. Not a hair out of place or anything. Speaking of his hair, it's gotten longer since he's been sleep. The door shut behind Vladdy and I took my seat.

"Hey, Silver." Vladdy started.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"I heard you and the Doc talking. You don't have to worry about you two not being mates anymore. Mates are for life and death. Even afterwards. That's usually the reason why when one mate dies, the other doesn't live much longer after that." Vladdy explained.

Well that takes a lot of the weight off my back. At least I know now that we'll be able to form together once again. Hopefully this time we'll be more of... lovers rather friends. Even though I do still want to be his friend. I want to love him more. I never really got to prove it to him.

"That's how Zev's father died." I muttered zoned out.

"Huh?" Vladdy asked.

"Zev's father died from the death of his mate." I said. "I know how it feels. While Zev's in the coma it's like he's sort of dead. I mean, like he's a lost cause. On the verge of death. It's hard to make it through life. Each day I feel like I'm dying more and more each day when I should be feeling like I'm getting better. But if Zev doesn't wake up I may not be able to last much longer." I said frowning. "And that's exactly what happened to Zev's father. He wasn't able to survive."

"He'll wake up." Vladdy said. I scoffed.

"No one can guarantee that."

-Zev's POV-

I held a hand in mine. The skin was really, really soft. But I couldn't place the face to the hands. I wanted to know who it was. There was a giant wave coming at us.

"Zev..." The voice said.

"Hm?" I asked with a smile.

"You should have stayed out of the car." The voice said. I turned and looked at the girl next to me, except it wasn't a girl anymore. It was a... a... I don't even know. There was no skin on the person, it was just burnt flesh. The eyes were a soft gray. But there was fire in that person's eyes. "You should have listened to Uriel."

Uriel? Who's Uriel?

"I'm Uriel." A voice said from behind me. Turning I looked the other way.

"Zev. Come into the darkness with me." A sweet alluring voice said.

"Don't go, Zev. You'll never wake up." Uriel said.

"Wake up? When was I ever asleep?" I asked.

"You're not asleep. He just wants you to believe you are. Come on Zev. Let's go." The voice said. I got up and began to walk with the voice.

"Zev! Don't you want to see her again?" Uriel asked. I stopped in my tracks and looked behind me at Uriel.

"Who?" I asked.

"Your mate, her." He said. I looked at him confused.

"Who is 'her'?" I asked.

"Her." He said.

"I don't know who 'her' is." I said.

"I can't say her name here, because you don't remember who she is. You don't know who she is anymore. But she knows who you are. And she's watching you right now. You're killing her. Your mate. And if she dies, you die as well. So I suggest you come with me and live so you can wake up." He held his hand out. The voice tugged at my clothes.

"Come on, Zev. He just wants to kill you." The voice sneered. I shook my head and pulled away.

"Why should I trust either of you?" I asked.

"Because I can get you to see, her. Just follow a few rules and things and you're out of this never ending dream. You'll be with her for as long as you both live."

"How do you know so much about her?" I asked.

"I'm her Guardian Angel." He said proudly.

"Then why are you in my 'dream'?" I asked.

"Because, you're killing her. If she dies, I get reassigned to another person. If I get reassigned because of murder, which you not waking up from this dream would be, then my father would be highly displeased. Especially when I could have prevented this whole situation from happening. Just come, if not for my sake then for hers. You do want to meet her, and remember her don't you?" Uriel asked. I looked back at the darkness.

"...Come with us... Zev." The darkness hissed. I looked over to Uriel.

"I want to meet her."
