Chapter Thirty-One

Me and Zev casually left out the house and hopped in the car we began to drive off and I soon began to get a bad feeling in my gut. The other's weren't awake so they weren't sure about what was going on, and in all honesty, I have no clue what was happening exactly either. Originally I was supposed to go by myself for the safety of Zev. For some odd reason I feel as if Liam isn't going to get killed on this trip.

"What's wrong?" Zev asked bringing me out my thoughts. I shook my head and let out a sigh.

"Nothing." I said. Zev intertwined our fingers together. Smiling a wryly I stared out the window dreading this adventure.

-Vladdy's POV-

So far we've been searching all over the house looking for Zev and Onyx. No success. Me and the boys gathered in the living room and just formed a little circle. "So what's going on?" I asked.

"Heh, I don't know." Cade said.

"The both of them just seemed to have disappeared on us." Elliot said.

"Maybe they left to the waterfall? I mean, who knows?" Rowan said shrugging.

"It's been a whole month, all they did was stay up in their room together. They never left the house at all." Sinn said. My eyes widened.

"I think I have a feeling... I think I know where Zev and Silver have gone." I said.

"Well, it would have helped if you would have mentioned that feeling a lot earlier." Slade said annoyed.

"Where are they?" Xerin asked.

"Silver promised she'd go save Leon from that hell hole after a months passing. Guess what. It's been a month." I said.

"So... that's why Silver's gone. But where is Zev?" Xerin asked.

"The obvious." I said. "With Silver."

-Zev's POV-

While we were just driving I couldn't help but think about what Uriel said, he told me I was blinded by trickery. So someone has black magic over me. But... who does? I mean, I've never been around a mage or a witch. Thinking about it I immediately blamed Liam's father. That man, God knows what he's been making deals with. The devil, for sure. I turned and looked over at Silver who had just fallen asleep. Smiling I brought her hand up to my lips and pressed them gently on her skin.

Once this is all over I swear we'll live a solitary life. I don't want anymore battles, I don't want anymore anger and pain, I just want something simple. I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of being Alpha. Ha, who would have ever thought I'd ever say such a thing. Dad would probably be disappointed. Mom would probably wonder why I'd say such a thing. I'm tired of being in charge. I've learned my lesson, I've learned that there's a woman, and she's braver than I could ever be. That woman loves me and I love her. She's everything I could ask for and more. And I just want her.

She stirred in her sleep, I glanced over at her. My eyes roamed over her sleeping frame.

"Perving on her again, are you?" Uriel said from the backseat. Jumping out of surprise I turned and looked behind me at the Guardian Angel in the backseat. He was wearing casual clothes and he had his hands behind his head in a casual position.
