Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha.
Chapter Two:
Just seeing all of this had me screaming. Yes I stood there for like 10 minutes screaming at the top of my lungs trying to make sense of what just happened and what I'm looking at. The beast in the front moved and that's when I took off running. I knew track would come into use sometime in my life. Still running I made my way back to the fall screaming. My friends were back and looking at me incredulously. Jess and Marisa swam to me. And came to comfort me.
"Silver, what's wrong?" They asked. I ran my hands through my hair panicking.
"Big--- monsters!! Chasing me..." I said out of breath and in hysterics. Jess put her hands on my shoulder.
"Where?" She asked. I looked over in the direction and met the eyes of the huge beast I saw. It grumbled and faded back into the bushes. "Silver, there's nothing there."
"I--I think I need to go home." I said. The guys came up to us.
"Whoa, what's up?" Kevin asked.
"She says she was chased in the forest by something." Marisa said.
"Did she say what?" Kevin asked.
"She said.... A monster." Jess said. Kevin and Rodney laughed.
"It's not funny!" I said now upset.
"A monster Silver? Really?" Rodney asked shaking his head. "Come on, let's go." I stood my ground even though my legs were shaking heavily.
"No. I ran for god knows how long because some THING was chasing me just for you to laugh at me?" I asked my voice shaky.
"It was probably a raccoon." He said.
"Raccoons aren't wolves the size of grizzly bears!" I said.
"So what? You saw a wolf." Rodney said. "Look, the worst it could do is chase you."
"Rodney, this is serious stuff. Silver wouldn't just run and scream over some small little thing. She was freaking out. Maybe we should all just take a look over there to be sure." Jess said. Rodney put his hands up in surrender.
"Alright alright me and Kevin will take a look." Rodney said. "Silver, mind showing us where you saw the wolf?" I shook my head.
"There's no way in hell I'm going over there." I said taking a couple of steps back.
"Don't you need your clothes?" Marisa asked.
"I'm not going over there!" I said shaking my head. Marisa sighed and turned to Kevin.
"Do you mind?"
"I'll get them." He sighed.
"We'll be in the car." Jess said and me, Marisa, and Jess headed back to the car. In complete silence.
"You don't believe me do you?" I asked.
"I do." Marisa said.
"Of course I believe you. Silver, I've never seen you this scared in your life before. I know you saw something big." Jess said. I sighed.
"Need a hug?" Marisa asked.
"I need my bed and a shower." I said. She hugged me anyway. It helped me calm down slightly but I was still freaking out. The guys came back shortly empty-handed. I freaked. "WHERE ARE MY CLOTHES?!" I asked wide eyed.
"They weren't there. Nothing was there." my eye twitched. Kevin scratched his head.
"What's wrong Kevin?" Marisa asked.
"Something must be out there. Probably a fox or something." He said.
"And what makes you think this all of the sudden?" Jess asked rolling her eyes.
"Cause I saw Silver put her clothes in the woods." He said.
"Aww, don't tell me you're getting all gushy and mushy on me." Rodney asked. Kevin glared at him.
"I'm not getting soft. Get in the car and drive asswipe." Kevin demanded and climbed in the passengers seat.
I fell asleep during the ride listening to bad karaoke from Kevin, and Rodney since Jess and Marisa told them to 'lighten up my mood' or whatever. Bad karaoke was not what I was expecting. The weird thing was I was sleep but I wasn't in a deep sleep. It was like I could wake up if a pen dropped from miles away. Weird. Once the car came to a halt I shot up awake and alert. Everyone in the car burst out in fits of laughter.
"Dude, I've never seen someone jump up that quickly out of a dream." Rodney said laughing.
"Whatever." I muttered. I noticed we were at my house and I got out the car then headed up to my door. I heard the car turn off and doors open. Marisa and Jess were at my side in seconds.
"We are NOT leaving you alone until you're sleeping safe and sound." Marisa said holding my hand. I smile a little.
"Thanks you guys, I appreciate it." I said and hugged them both before opening the door to a nice and cozy home. I ran up stairs to my room and shut the door. I stripped down out of my clothes and jumped in the shower without second thoughts. The hot water hit my skin making me feel calm once again.
After my shower I got dressed in comfortable PJ's and opened my door. I walked downstairs to my friends.
"How ya feelin' babes?" Jess asked me.
"Tired." I said yawning a little. "I just wanted to let you know I was gonna go to bed. I didn't want you guys to worry." I smiled wryly.
"Girl! We'll worry regardless." Marisa said.
"Yeah, Marisa has a point when me and Jess get home all Jess talks about is, "I wonder if Silver's ok? I mean her being single and all, should we go check up on her?" all that etcera." Rodney said rolling his eyes.
"You know you worry too Rodney." Jess said. "I know you do." I smiled a little.
"You guys are my best friends ever." I promised. They chuckled and gave me a group hug.
"We love you Silver, and if there's any problems then call us." Kevin said narrowing his eyes at me. "Seriously. If you don't I'll kill you." I laughed.
"I will." I said. "Good night you guys." I said.
Once they left I looked around my cozy home and smiled. I'm always safe here. I turned out some lights and left my fireplace on. The flame should be going out soon. The heart of the house; the fireplace. I smiled at it and headed up stairs to my room. I laid down in bed and rested there till sleep overwhelmed me.
I shot up and looked around, everything seemed to be in a haze, like I was in a dream. But I am sleep after all.
"Over here hon." A husky voice said. I turned my head in the direction of the male. He wasn't bad looking. More like badass! "There you are."
"What are you gonna do with her?" Another voice said. A male stepped out the shadows and met eyes with me briefly.
"Why, she's gonna come with us." The husky male said. He smiled at me. "Aren't you." I nodded and subconsciously smiled. "You know, I never thought I would find you." he chuckled. "But we can explain this when you're completely awake." the male walked over to me and brought his lips to my ear. "Go to sleep darling."
I dropped back into unconsciousness once again.
