Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha.

Chapter Seven:

I soaked all that information in, werewolves seem kinda peaceful when you really think about it. When they're not killing and attacking at least. Mates sound pretty epic. I wish I were like half wolf half human, then I'd probably be able to have a mate. And he'd be all strong and protective--- Ha! Who am I kidding? I'm never gonna have a mate. I'm human.

I walked out and roamed around. I wonder if Zev and Xerin have mates. If they do they never talk about them. Just as I was thinking that another idea popped in my head. I should obviously ask them these questions. I mean after all being in someone's personal business tends to annoy them. I grinned deviously. Perfect.

I began skipping to my destination when I stopped because I saw something adorable. A little blonde headed girl and a little black haired boy stared at each other. They both stuck their hand out in front of each other. The boys eyes were wide. The girls breath was hitched. I was astonished. Their hands touched and they pulled their hands back as if someone had a disease.

"You're him aren't you?" The little girl asked.

"I think I love you." the boy said. The little girl turned and ran leaving the little boy all to himself. He turned and ran off also. I just stared as I watched that scene take place. That girl did not just stand him up like that. Shaking my head I kept moving. I skipped down the hall observing everything that was going on. Couples were with each other. Smiling. Happy. The way wolf couples are supposed to be? There was laughter in the foyer. So me being as curious as I am, I turned and went to the Foyer. I peeped my head in. It was a group of guys. All by themselves. But I could pick out a few. Sinn, Zev, Slade, Vex, and Trix.

'Maybe I should go...' I thought.

"Hello, Dove." A male voice said. I jumped about ten feet in the air. Everyone in the room turned and looked at me. Blushing hotter than the sun. I scratched my head and put on a sheepish grin, then walked in the room.

"Hello." I said waving to everyone. Zev just sighed and shook his head.

"What do you want Silver?" Zev asked.

"Oh, the librarian kicked me out for the day. So I went looking for you." I said taking my own seat.

"You do realize there's no girls in here." Sinn said amused.

"Eh, it's cool, I never really classified myself for a girl anyway." I shrugged. Zev looked annoyed.

"Get out Silver." He said. I laughed.

"And go where?" I asked tilting my head to the side.

"I dunno! Just away!"

"Nah... This seems to be hitting the spot. I think I'm gonna stay." I smirked. Zev glared.

"Get. Out. Silver." He growled. I glared right back.

"I don't know who you think you are but you WILL NOT ever talk to me like that. Yeah, I know you're Alpha and all that stuff, but I'm a human. The rules don't apply." I said.

"They apply here and now." Zev said. "You see, you're in my territory, meaning I have full control over you. You know this, Silver."

I rolled my eyes and stood up; I put my hands on my hips. "Look, Zevariah whatever your last name is, I'm not one for being controlled. And if you're not ok with it, you're just better off letting me go back home."

"Rhyne." He said.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Zevariah Rhyne." He said.

'Oh... well you got your last name, love.' My conscience said.

"Whatever. I'm going to my room. You bore me." I said and stormed off. I walked to the room I was being held hostage in and I just flopped on the bed. I stuck my earphones in my ear and turned my music on to a random song. Slowly I began to doze off into a...semi peaceful sleep.

I jerked awake and hopped out the bed. I practically ran downstairs to the door outside. I stepped outside and let the heavy wind tear at my clothes. I closed my eyes as I felt my feet sink into the soil. It had just rained and it was about to rain again. Just as I had thought this water droplets began to fall from out the black abyss in the sky. I opened my eyes and began to head into the forest. I passed a lot of trees and stepped on a lot of rocks but I didn't seem to feel any pain. Well, partially cause I'm subconsciously doing this. I stopped when a nice sized boulder came into view. I took a seat on the boulder and stared out at to nothing in particular. Just enjoying the wildlife. The wind seemed to get harsher, and the rain began pouring down. Soaking my clothes and everything I just smiled at the peace.

That's when it hit me.

Something is wrong with me.
