Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha.
Chapter Thirteen:
Early bird gets the worm. That's what my father always said. I never followed that rule... until today. I was the first one awake. And when I say first I mean first. It was so deserted in the hallways and downstairs. NO ONE was awake. Just me. So I took a shower and got dressed then I headed downstairs and just thought. Do I want to join packs with my family yet? Ok... well, maybe I should talk this out with my wolf. Wolfie?
'Don't you dare call me wolfie.' My wolf growled. Alright, I won't call you wolfie. What should I call you then? 'I'm you. Just a wolf form.' I rolled my eyes. So technical. 'What do you need?' I need to know if I should join packs with my family or if I should be in Vladdy's pack. My wolf chuckled. 'Darling, have you even been on a run with your fathers pack?' No... but I just want some advice. 'Well, if you want my advice I say join your fathers pack. Why? Because you're his daughter. His ONLY daughter at that. You can be there for your brother and you can mend your relationship with your family back together. Besides it's your family. Family comes first.' ...Why do you have to be so correct? My wolf laughed and faded away. 'It's you choice, love, whatever you choose I go with...' The sound of footsteps brought me out of my conversation. I glanced at the entry way, where Rowan and his friends walked in. I turned and looked at him. He was shirtless... once again. I groaned.
"Go back upstairs and put a shirt on." I said. He looked at me confused.
"Why?" He asked smirking. "Are you attracted to my body?"
"First of all, I'm your SISTER not your mate or any of those other chickadees that want your... body." I said shriveling up my nose. "You're my brother; I don't view you that way."
"I'll go put on a shirt when you wear longer clothes." Rowan said smirking.
"I bought these clothes, and I'm an adult. Meaning I don't have to listen to anything you say, bro." I said.
"Then I guess I'll just be sitting here with no shirt on." He said. I groaned.
"You're so much like me. So stubborn." I chuckled. "We'll get along just fine." A smile crept up on his face.
"We can make this work." He said and took a seat next to me. A growl suddenly came from his throat. I raised my brow at him but looking at his friends gave me a hint. I laughed.
"I'm off limits, kids. Besides you're all probably 17." I said. "I'm not a cougar." Rowan looked at me with a raised brow.
"Sneaking up in or conversation?" He asked.
"I don't even know how to do that stuff." I said.
"Then how'd you know?" One of his friends asked.
"I do have friends." I said. "Guy friends. I know how a male works." The guys just chuckled.
"If you're talking about the human males, I must inform you that humans and werewolves are very different." Rowan said.
"Men are always men." I said shrugging.
"Should I be offended?" He asked. I chuckled.
"Nah." I said. "Who's your buddies?"
"That's Seth, Wayne, Max, Manuel, and William." Rowan said introducing them to me. I waved.
"Ello." I said. "Have you seen Vladdy?"
"Nope, but you know Vex, he's always knocked out." I rolled my eyes.
"That's MY Vladdy you're talking about." I said. Rowan wiggled his eyebrows.
