Just My Luck, Stuck With The Alpha.

Chapter Forty-Six

-Silver's POV-

We have decided. We're going to completely end this whole thing. Start anew. We were going to erase every bad thing from our memories and start a new life; one without Liam and his Ice Pack.

Besides, once he's out of the way, Zev and I can start to work on starting a new generation. Zev wants kids. And werewolves don't live forever, they also don't stay fertile for a very long time either. Female Alpha or not. I smiled a little just thinking about it. Hmph, imagine that. Zev fathering a kid or more. I smiled imagining a little Zev and a little Silver running around outside. Living off in a quiet area not too far from the packhouses. Peace. No one trying to cause harm.

That's how I want to live.

Zev glanced at me from the distance, his hair tousled by the wind. His genuine smile made me warm on the inside. Then he returned to his work. Vladdy came up next to me.

"What were you smiling about?" He asked. I pursed my lips.

"My future family." I said honestly. Vladdy raised his brow.

"Oh, really? Tell me about it." He said interested. I blushed a little.

"I dunno, it's just a little dream. Besides Zev and I haven't quite really talked about a family. We just occasionally bring it up." I said.

"Well, if it's not set in stone then you can still tell me. I mean come on... we're best friends." He said nudging me. He has a point.

"Oh, ok, fine. I was thinking that once all this chaos has finally ended Zev and I get married, and start a family. Live somewhere not oo far from the packhouses. I imagine four kids. More later on, but for the start only four kids. Two girls, two boys. We're both happy. Content. They could see you guys whenever they wanted to. We can go out in the human world whenever we wanted to. Just a happy family." I said. Vladdy nodded.

"That seems like an epic future family." I chuckled some. "Ooh, and I did catch the part when you said, "I want to get married then start a family." so I'm guessing you and Zev haven't tied the knot yet, huh?" I looked at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You guys are mates. You've found each other and you've marked each other. But you haven't... bonded." He said.

"What about bonding?" I asked.

"It's what connects you two. You can always be mated to someone who isn't your soul mate. But once you do actually find your real soul mate and you wish to be with them, cause you will, you have to break the bond with your other mate. Which can be fatal. Breaking the bond is cutting off EVERYTHING. The reason why it can be fatal is because it's soo overwhelming. It's so painful werewolves can't take it. When you bond you're giving yourself to your mate, you're swearing an oath that you will forever be theirs as they are yours." Vladdy explained.

"I thought all you had to do was mark each other and it was completed." I said.

"Eh, that's what we tell the kids until they get of age." He chuckled.

"Oh."

"When you mark your mate you want to be with them, but you can be torn away. That's when the bonding urge comes into play. You're going through your bonding urge now."

"What's that?"

"It's what you feel like doing. You hold it off because you want to get married to Zev first. But you're not strong enough. The bonding urge is the urge you get when you just want to only make love to your mate and complete the mating process."
