The phone rings. Meredith reaches out and sees the name on the display. A smile immediately appears on her face: Derek. She picks up the phone and she hears his voice on the other side of he line.

"Hey Meredith, how are you?"

"I am good" she answers, "thank you."

"What are you going to do tonight?" he asks curiously.

"Nothing, why?"

"So you are free then... well not anymore." He chuckles

"What?"

"I am going to take you out on a date. I'll pick you up at 8 so make sure you are ready."

"Uhm... okey?" Meredith answers, a hint of confusion in her voice. She wants to ask him where he is taking her but Derek already hung up the phone.

It's already 5pm so Meredith slowly starts getting ready for her date tonight. First she takes a shower, washing the dirt of this day off. She wraps a towel around her and steps out of the shower. She walks over to the sink and towel dry's her hair. She puts on some light makeup and walks over to her closet. She is in doubt about what to wear. She has no idea what she can expect of this date. 

She has two outfits ready and laid out on her bed. The first outfit consists out of a beautiful light blue dress, a golden bracelet and necklace and matching heels. She absolutely loves this outfit. The second outfit consists out of dark blue jeans and a dark green turtleneck sweater. Black sneakers and a simple silver bracelet also belong with this outfit. She stands in front of the two outfits for a while but finally settles with the dress. 

It was around 7.30pm and the doorbell rang. Meredith answers the door and she sees Derek standing in the opening.

"I'm sorry I am a little bit early but I was so bored at home I thought I would just come over already."

"Its okey, I am almost ready. I just have to get dressed real quick."

Meredith moves to her bedroom and gets dressed in the light blue dress. She punt on her heels and her jewelry. To finish the look she puts on her favorite perfume and looks in the mirror once more. Her hair falls in perfect curls over her shoulders and the light makeup perfectly goes with the outfit.

She walks back to the living room where Derek is waiting for her.

"Wow...I-Wow Mer." He stutters. "You look amazing." Meredith blushes and shyly looks down to the ground.

"I just... you look gorgeous but..." Derek says

"I have to get changed into something more comfortable?"

"Yeah, sorry" He sighs.

"No problem" she gives him a soft and reassuring smile before she heads back to the bedroom. She changes into the outfit with the green turtleneck sweater and heads back. 

Derek smiles widely when Meredith enters the living room once again. "You still look beautiful but much more appropriate for this date." 

Meredith giggles and he walks up to her, sticking his arm out for Meredith to grab. She wraps her hand around his arm and together they walk to Derek's car. They get in and Derek starts driving.

"So where are we going?" Meredith asks curiously. 

"Guess" He says with a huge grin on his face.

"Uhm... are we going to a restaurant?"

"Nope"

"The movie theater?

"No"

"Well I have no idea Derek. I don't even know where we are right now."
