Today is Friday. Meredith and Derek are getting ready to leave for work and Liam is calmly sleeping while the nanny is watching over him. It's just like every other Friday, right?

They arrive at school and walk inside. They walk towards Derek's office, recently it feels more like their office, and Meredith drops her stuff off. They say goodbye to each other and quickly kiss before Meredith leaves the room. She heads down to her own classroom and starts getting everything ready for the day.

It's lunchtime and Meredith meets Derek in his office. Derek had some free time before lunch so he went out and got the two a sandwich and some coffee. Meredith plopped in his office chair and let out a big sigh. 

"God today is a long day." 

"What's wrong honey?" Derek asks while handing her a sandwich. He lifts Meredith up and takes his seat on the office chair before placing Meredith on his lap. 

"I don't know. I think I just can't wait for the weekend to come" Meredith sighs and rests her head on Derek shoulder. Derek wraps an arm tightly around her, holding her close. 

"I get it. I can't wait either" He smiles before taking the last bite of his sandwich and swallowing it down with coffee. 

They finish their coffee and when the bell rings Meredith has to leave again. "What time do you finish?" Derek asks.

"My last class finishes at 4 so I should be able to leave around 4.30pm" She says. 

"Okey I'll pick you up at your classroom then" He smiles. Meredith nods in agreement and walks out.

It's 3pm. Meredith's last class is about to start and Derek is pacing the bathroom nervously. Is this the right move? Does she even want this? Is it the right time? All of these thoughts are running through his head at the same time. He takes a few deep breaths to come up with the courage before walking out of the bathroom and down to Meredith's classroom. 

He peeks through the small window in the door and sees his beautiful girlfriend teaching the class about the respiratory system. He gently knocks and opens the door. He comes face to face with a confused Meredith. 

"I thought I said 4.30? not 3.30?" She says. 

"Yeah, I know. I just have to do something first. Can you come here please?" 

Meredith walks over to Derek, who is now standing right in front of the class. "Derek, I'm teaching" She whispers.  

"Yes I know, just trust me." He whispers back. 

"Alright class" He says in a normal voice addressing the confused looking students. "As many of you probably already know Miss. Grey and I are dating." He smiles widely. The classroom freaks out. Students are shouting and whistling. "Quiet!" Derek says to get the class quiet again. He is far from finished talking. 

"We are actually a little bit more than dating." He smiles, looking at Meredith. Meredith's eyes are filled with confusion. She was still standing next to him, facing the students. "We are a little bit more than dating..." Derek continues. "Because I'm completely in love with her." The kids are just overwhelmed with excitement. "I've been in love with her since the first time I saw her and haven't stopped since." He looks over at Meredith and he can see the tears forming in her eyes. He smiles softly at her, a tear forming in his eyes as well. 

"Quiet, please" He says again. The class slowly quiets down and Derek continues. " And I was wondering..." He takes one deep breath. "I was wondering if Miss Grey would like to become Mrs. Shepherd." Derek gets down on one knee and pulls a small box out his front pocket. He opens it and a beautiful diamond ring is revealed. Meredith's tears are now streaming down her face and the entire class is going crazy. Students are screaming and celebrating.
