Me and Jack are in Chemistry. I look across our table to see that MJ and Gwen are also in class. I see MJ waving at me. I wave back.
Jack: I think she likes you, dude.
Y/N: Dude, waving is a friendly gesture.
Jack: It's just the way she looks at you. It just looks like she's giving you the romantic eyes.
Y/N: Whatever man...
I change the subject.
Y/N: About college... what are you plan on doing?
He stays silent. I look at him.
Y/N: Jack?
Jack: I... don't think I'll get in college.
Y/N: Huh? What do you mean?
Jack: I'll be honest with you, things hasn't been doing good for me.
Y/N: What's going on?
Jack: Money... me and my family hasn't been well when it comes to money.
I listen.
Jack: My dad passed away recently...
I'm shocked.
Y/N: I'm... so sorry for your loss... I didn't know.
Jack: Ever since then, my Mom hasn't been the same, she got fired from her job, and she is struggling to find work. She is behind our house payment. We could be losing our house...
Man... it's really bad for Jack...
Y/N: Well... if that happens, maybe you can stay at my place, I think my uncle and my aunt would help you guys.
Jack: Thanks... I'm glad to have you as my friend.
I smile.
Y/N: Of course, anytime.
We fist bump. The teacher then interrupts the class.
Teacher: Listen up, class!
We all stop what we're doing and listen.
Teacher: Tomorrow, we will going to a science exhibit. So you can check out what they do there. Are you guys interested.
We all say yeah.
Teacher: Good. The bus will be here tomorrow, so be ready.
Y/N: I always love going on field trips.
Jack: Yeah, they are pretty good.
After working, we hear the bell ring.
