Charlotte-

Potions was the worst class I had ever taken; it made me want to rip my hair out. It made me want to bury myself six feet underground. I sat alone in the library trying to study to figure out what the hell the words on the page were saying. All my friends were busying doing their own work, even though Lavender and Parvati promised they would come and help me as soon as they could, while Draco was in detention with Professor Flitwick, I couldn't ask anyone to help me understand this. It didn't help that Parkinson had just walked in with a group of other Slytherin girls and sat at the table right in front of me.

"I don't know why Draco keeps going hanging out with her. She's rather ugly, isn't she?" I heard Parkinson whisper, I barley batted an eyelash even as she turned to look at me, that pugface wanted me to know she was talking about me.

I rolled my eyes and turned to the next page in my textbook. I had been called far worse by everyone in the foster system, including numerous foster parents.

"Draco should look at someone like you, you are much prettier." Her friend said.

"I know!" Parkinson's voice was to high, it's hurting my ears.

"I tried to get Draco to talk to me last night about her, but he shut me down quickly. You think she could have him under a love potion?"

"No, she's not that smart." Her friend said.

"Exactly. Where did she even go for thirteen years? I mean, are we all supposed to not question how she just arrived out of nowhere?" Parkinson asked, the library doors opened again, my two best friends walked in.

"Sorry we took long, Charlotte. We had to speak to McGonagall," Parvati said, they sat down in front of me. I shrugged a shoulder.

"It's fine." I snapped, I could see them share a look of concern between them. I rubbed my forehead with two fingers, I shouldn't have snapped at her.

"Is everything alright Charlotte?"

"Yes, I'm sorry, it's just Pansy keeps talking really loudly about me."

"She did what?" Parvati hissed, she gripped her backpack, glaring at Parkinson.

"I'll kill her,"

"Just ignore her," I breathed, I had to keep my temper under control. There was a myth about red heads being hothead's but that wasn't true for all redheads, but it was true for me.

"I think she was too much of a freak, so her parents sent her away."

"I think her parents didn't love her enough. I mean, her brother is Harry Potter. Who would want to keep her instead of him?" Parkinson whispered. The quill in my hand snapped in half.

"Charlotte calm down, just ignore it," Parvati whispered, she took the quill from my hands and frowned, Lavender put a new quill in my hand.

"Oh, I definitely think you're right. Her parents just don't love her. I mean, what does she expect? Her Mum's a mud blood and her dad's a blood traitor," Parkinson's shrill laugh hurt my ears. She glanced over at me, and the new quill in my hand snapped again, and before I knew it and probably anyone else, I was out of my chair, grabbing Pansy by the collar, and forced out of her chair.

"What are you doing!" Parkinson shrieked.

"This!" I shouted, before punching Parkinson right on the nose. She screamed, my knuckles were sprayed with her blood. I dropped her on the ground, shaking my injured hand.

"Out! Everyone out! What happened to your nose!" Madam Pince shouted suddenly emerging from I don't know where and stared at the blood dripping from Parkinson's nose.

"She punched me!" Parkinson said, I winced at my hand, rubbing my poor knuckles.

"Well, obviously, you hurt my hand. I think you should be punished for it." I said, showing Parkinson my bruised knuckles. I could hear Parvati and Lavender giggling behind me.

"BOTH OF YOU TO PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL'S OFFICE NOW!" Madam Pince shouted, grabbing Parkinson by the arm and hauling her to her feet. I looked at my friends and signed quickly grabbing my schoolbooks and left to Professor McGonagall's office, Parkinson's nose was bleeding so much it was staining her shirt.

Madam Pince knocked on McGonagall's door, she opened after two knocks. "What is going on?" She eyed Parkinson's bleeding nose.

"These two got into a fight in the library! Never in all my years have I been as angry as I have been now!" Madam Pince shoved Parkinson into McGonagall's office.

"I'll handle this thank you Madam Pince," McGonagall said, Madam Pince threw me a glare as she walked out, slamming the door shut behind her.

"Will one of care to explain what happened?" Professor McGonagall asked, she flicked her wand and a towel appeared in Parkinson's hand. She pressed it against her nose.

"She punched me!" Parkinson said, I rolled my eyes.

"Why did you punch her?"

"She pissed me off."

"Why?"

"Parkinson forgot to mention she was talking badly, in a very loud voice, about me and my family." I hissed, crossing my arms over my chest. I threw Parkinson a glare, eyeing the bloody tissue, was it wrong to feel satisfied like this?

"Is this true, Parkinson?"

"Not at all," Parkinson said, in a very sweet fake voice.

"She's lying!"

"I have heard enough. Both of you are to serve detention tomorrow night. Twenty points each from Gryffindor and Slytherin."

"But I was attacked," Parkinson shouted, stomping her foot.

"I don't want to hear it! Both of you head to the nurse's office." McGonagall said, looking at my bruised hand, and Parkinson's nose.
