Charlotte-
The weeks started going faster and faster, and soon the day I was regretting was here. I laid in bed on the day of the third task, not wanting to move or breath, not wanting the time to move.
"Charlotte, what are you doing?" Parvati asked, they were still getting ready for breakfast, and I was still in my pajama's refusing to move.
"I don't want to get up
"Why?" Lavender asked,
"The third task is today." I muttered, putting the blanket over my head. I curled myself into a ball.
"So, you aren't the one competing. It's going to be fun. If Harry wins, the twins are going to throw another party!" Lavender squealed.
"Yeah, that's unlikely," I whispered, I don't know if they heard me. I doubt that she heard me. I felt the bed dip beside me, I could smell Parvati's perfume through the blanket. She put her hand on my shoulder and rubbed a small circle with her thumb.
"I don't know what's wrong Charlotte, but you have to get up and go support your brother. He's probably more of a nervous mess than you are." Parvati was right, she was always right. I threw the blanket off me and nodded.
"Yes, you're right. I need to see Harry."
---
Maybe I can warn him, maybe I can tell him. I thought as I stared at Cedric from across the great hall, he laughed with his friends, I could hear his laugh from here, I could see his eyes twinkling with amusement, and I could feel my heart breaking for Cho who was tucked into his side.
I could just go up to him right now, beg him not to go through with it, but he would think I'm crazy, wouldn't he?
I signed as I bit into my muffin.
"Lottie why are you staring at Diggory?" Lavender asked, but before I could even reply my brother called my name from across the Gryffindor table.
"Charlotte, we have to go. Professor McGonagall said that I have to get you, and we can go see Mum and Dad." He explained. I looked over at Cedric, but he had already gone off to walk with Fleur and meet his parents.
"Yes, okay, let's go." I said, I waved goodbye to Lavender and Parvati before standing up and following Harry.
"Why are you so sad?" Harry asked, he nudged me with his elbow.
"No, sorry. I'm fine." I shrugged.
"You sure cause you look sad."
"Yes, I'm fine." I forced a smile; I doubt it met my eyes. Harry shrugged as we walked into room next to the Great Hall. My parents, Remus, and Sirius stood between the Diggory's and Delacour.
"Surprise!" Dad shouted. I was squished by my father in a big bear hug, before hugging my Mum, Sirius, and Remus.
"Is Peter here?" I whispered to Dad. He nodded, showing her his pocket, which had Peter in his animagus form. He ran up Dad's arm and rested on his shoulder.
"Now I want to see everything, Harry! Tell me, is the fat lady still here? She took a liking to me." Sirius said, rubbing his hands together. The Diggory's were glaring, I could feel it, everyone could feel it.
"Happy, aren't you? Bet you're not feeling quite as full of yourself now. Cedrics caught you up on points, are you?" Amos Diggory commented.
"What's that supposed to mean, Diggory." Dad spat, glaring at Amos.
"You know what that means."
"Ignore him. He's been angry ever since Rita Skeeters' article about the Triwizard Tournament - you know when she made out you were the only Hogwarts champion." Cedric whispered to Harry and I, frowning at his dad.
