Charlotte-
I had managed to avoid Draco for a week after the ball. My friends were getting suspicious, but I didn't care. I couldn't face him, not yet. A flash of familiar blond hair had me jumping behind Parvati, using my books to cover my face.
"Charlotte," Lavender said, I quickly scanned the hallway making sure the hallway was clear. I stepped out from behind Parvati who giggled at me, but I didn't care.
"Yes?"
"What are you doing? Why are you hiding from Malfoy?"
"I'm not hiding. What gave you that impression?" I laughed, before looking over my shoulder to make sure he wasn't behind me.
"You jumping to the corner to hide maybe a small hint," Parvati said, as we continued our walk to the potion's classroom.
"That's nothing."
"Well, it's definitely something," Parvati said.
"It-well-"
"You've been acting strange ever since the Yule Ball. I saw you sneak out of it. Where did you go?" Parvati commented. I shrugged my shoulders, as we reached the potions classroom. He was going to be in there, I couldn't avoid him in there.
"Nowhere," I said, as we entered the classroom. I could feel him watching me as I got to my desk and sat down with my friends. I made sure not to look up, not to meet his silver eyes. I put my bag on the counter, and before I could take my potions book out, a little bird note appeared on top of my bag. I furrowed picking it up, before carefully opening the bird.
Meet me in front of the library, after potions. We need to talk.

My heart sunk, and I forced myself to look over at him, I shook my head, shoving the note into my bag. Draco's shoulder's slumped, and he ran a hand through his hair, as Snape entered the classroom and started his lesson.
---
"Lottie, would you like to explain why you've been acting wired now?" I shut the dorm room door behind us. Hermione was still out with my brother, and their best friend. I kicked off my shoes, dropping my bag beside my bed.
"Yeah, Charlotte. Are you alright? Did something happen? Is something bothering you?" Lavender asked me. She shrugged off her robe and threw her bag on the bed.
"Maybe," I signed, taking my hair out of its tight ponytail. I ran my fingers over my scalp, trying to soothe it.
"Come on, you can tell us. We won't tell anyone we promise!" Parvati sat down on the bed next to me, I looked at her from the corner of my eye and shrugged.
"You really want to know?" I asked, Lavender jumped off her bed, and plopped almost on top of me, she scrambled to sit up and nodded vigorously.
"Draco kissed me at the ball." I whispered; both of them gasped. Lavender covered her mouth with her hand.
"No way!"
"Oh, my merlin!"
"Yes, that's why I've been avoiding him. He wants to talk about it. I want to ignore it." I brought my knees up to my chest and signed.
"How did it happen?"
"Did you like it?"
"Is he a good kisser?"
"Where is did it happen?"
"One question at a time!" I giggled, they started jumping in their seats, pushing me one way and the other.
"How did it happen?" Lavender asked.
I explained to them everything that had happened that night at the Yule ball last week, and answering all the questions they kept throwing at me. By the time we finished we were giggling and red in the face.
"So, what are you going to do now?" Parvati asked.
"Nothing, what should I do?"
"Go talk to him!" Lavender shouted, grabbing me by the shoulders, and shaking me hard.
"I don't know," I groaned, prying her hands off my shoulders.
"Charlotte, you like him! And he likes you. It's obvious. Go talk to him." Parvati said, just as excited as Lavender was.
"Oh, I don't know." I said again. Parvati and Lavender groaned, the latter shaking her head.
"Charlotte, you get your arse out there, or I'm going to tell Professor Snape you were the one who put the hair loss potion in his drink." Lavender warned.
"I was this close! This close to getting him bald!" I signed, before I processed what she really said. "No! Wait okay, okay! I'll go!"
"Good!" They both shouted, pushing me off the bed I landed flat on my stomach, and cursed at them before walking out the dorm room door.
---
I almost walked back to my dorm room four times before I finally got the guts to walk to the Slytherin common room, ready to explain everything to Draco. I turned the corner before walking into someone's hard chest and almost falling on my arse.
"Watch where you're going-oh it's you, are you okay?" A familiar voice asked, I looked up, Draco's sliver-blue eyes met mine, sparkling with amusement.
"Yes, I'm fine. I was actually going to look for you." I said.
"So, we can finally talk?"
"Not here. Anyone can hear us." I scanned the hallway, even if there wasn't anyone in the hallway at the moment, I didn't want to risk it. I grabbed his arm, and found the closest closet door. I pushed us into it, slamming the door shut behind us.
"Can we talk now?" He asked, as he crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.
"Yes, we can," I said, I pulled on the ends of my fingertips nervously. "Listen, I know maybe if it was a mistake, and you probably regret it, and it was the Yule Ball magic or something and you've been asking me to see you for a week to tell me you don't feel the same way, I get it, now you probably never want to see me again. But I like you, and I just realized after you kissed me that I do! And now you probably never want to speak to me again. "
"Are you done?" Draco asked, raising one eyebrow at me. His mouth up tilted up in an amused smirk.
"Yes, I think so."
"Okay, first of all, no, it wasn't a mistake or the Yule magic or whatever. I've been wanting to talk to you all week because..." Draco pushed himself off the wall.
"I like you, Charlotte. I have liked you for a while. I didn't ask to kiss you for nothing." He grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers together. I could feel my cheeks reddening the more he talked.
"And I'd like to think you like me, even if you've been hiding all week." Draco chuckled; my cheeks were probably as red as my hair by now.
"I haven't been hiding."
"I saw you jump and hide in the corner when I walked past this morning." He laughed.
"Well, you weren't supposed to see that." I hissed, Draco laughed, shaking his head at me. I scowled at him, but he just shook that blond head and smiled even deeper. His cheek dimpled.
"The only issue is my parents. You know how my family is, I can't tell them my girlfriend is Charlotte Potter." Draco said, nervously. I tried to imagine my parents and brother's face if I told them that I was dating Draco Malfoy, and that wasn't going to blow over well.
"I know, and my family would be the same. I think it's best if we keep it a secret for now."
"Perfect," Draco said, he leaned down, and his soft lips were on mine again. I don't know how this one felt somehow even better than our first kiss, but it was, and it was perfect.
