Charlotte's POV-

"We could still go. Could you convince Mum and Dad, Moony?" Harry asked, we sat in Lupin's office, after Lily and James refused to sign the permission slips to go to Hogsmeade with the rest of our class.

"Harry, they have their reasons."

"But I don't like their reasons. It's not fair! Everyone else gets to go, why do we not?" Harry complained again.

"And don't say we have to be careful, Moony." Harry said, Lupin shook his head at him before turning to me. He handed me a large bar of chocolate ignoring Harry's glare.

"Charlotte, how has your day been?"

"Oh fine, ignore me."

"It was okay. I'm a little hungry." I said, unwrapping my chocolate bar. The door opened, and Snape walked in with a vile in his hand.

"Ah, Severus. Thanks very much. Could you leave it here on the desk for me?" Snape set it on the desk, looking suspiciously between Harry and I and Lupin.

"I was just showing Charlotte and Harry my Grindylow," Lupin explained, pointing at the tank of them in the corner of the room, Snape didn't look bother sparing a glance at the tank, before pointing at the vile.

"Fascinating. You should drink that directly, Lupin." Snape advised.

"Yes, yes, I will."

"I made an entire cauldron full. If you need more." Snape continued.

"I should probably have some again tomorrow. Thanks very much, Severus." Lupin said,

"Not at all," Snape nodded before he turned around, shutting the door behind him.

"I cannot believe you still take Wolfsbane's potion from him! He could have poisoned it." Harry said, pointing to the door, Remus and I shared a look before shaking our heads at him.

"You are so dramatic, Harry. He helps with my condition." Remus said he glanced at me nervously. He clearly didn't know if Lily and James told me about him, but I smiled at hm warmly breaking off a piece of chocolate.

"You mean, your furry problem." I said, before popping a piece of chocolate in my mouth, Remus visibly relaxed.

"Oh please, of course Mum and Dad told her." Harry said, he stood up examining the potion on Remus's desk.

"Maybe I should drink it first." Harry whispered, as he kneeled down and became eye level with it, examining it.

"Why would you drink it first?" I asked.

"To test if it's poisons, so if I die, then we know he's evil!" Harry said as he picked it up.

"And that's what we're not going to do. You have been spending a bit too much time with Padfoot. Last summer, you've become too dramatic." Remus said, taking it from him, and locking it in a drawer.

"I have not!"

---

"Why isn't anyone going in?" Ron asked after dinner later that night. There were crowds of people standing in front of the fat lady portrait, leading all the way down the stairs. We couldn't see anything from down here.

"Let me through, please! What's the holdup here? You can't all have forgotten the password — excuse me, I'm Head Boy —" Percy said, coming behind us. He elbowed us, pushing past people to get to the fat lady.

"Somebody get Professor Dumbledore. Quick."

"What's going on?" Ginny asked coming up behind us, but no one could answer as the students started clearing a path for Dumbledore with McGonagall right on his heels.
