The two months of excitedly waiting for the two schools to arrive. The professor's wanted us to wait outside to greet them, I wouldn't have minded it, if it wasn't for how cold it was outside. Thanks to how thick my Hogwarts robe was, it was acting as a warm blanket around me, but I was wearing my Hogwarts skirt, and I could feel the cold air crawling up my legs.

"It's freezing. Where are they?" Parvati huffed; she had her arms wrapped around herself trying to warm herself up. I wrapped my arm around her, she rested her head on my shoulder, trying to steal my body heat.

"Your robes should keep you warm," Lavender said.

"Well, why am I saying it's cold if it should be warm?" Parvati snapped, Lavender and I chuckled under our breaths, Parvati glared at us, shaking her head.

"Aha! Unless I am very much mistaken, the delegation from Beauxbatons approaches!" Dumbledore called out; he raised his hand pointing for somewhere in the sky.

"Where!" Several people shouted.

"There!" A sixth year said, pointing over the forest. There was a large black shape or cloud or something that started flying towards us.

"It's a dragon!"

"Don't be stupid...it's a flying house!" Denis Creevy yelled.

The giant black shape was actually a large powdered blue carriage, that was the size of a house. Large, winged horses as big as elephants were pulling the carriage.

The first row of students jumped out of the way as it landed. The blue door opened, and a very short, round man jumped out and took out a large pair of golden steps. The largest woman I had ever seen stepped out.

Madam Maxine smiled as she walked over to Dumbledore, she extended her hand out for Dumbledore, he took it, kissing the top of her palm.

"My dear Madame Maxime. Welcome to Hogwarts."

"Dumbly-dort, I 'ope I find you well?" She asked.

"In excellent form, I thank you," Dumbledore answered.

"My pupils," Maxine said, gesturing a large hand towards her students, I didn't even realize they had gotten off the carriage. They were dressed from head to toe in powdered blue, the same color as the carriage, they were shivering, clearly their uniforms weren't made for this weather.

"Omg, I love this year." Lavender giggled, she eyed many of the shivering French boys.

"Me too." Parvati and I giggled, some of the boys glanced over at us, we tried to stop the fits of giggles as they smiled at us. Now we just needed to wait for the Drumstrang school to arrive, then we can finally go inside and enjoy our warm dinner. I felt the air nipping at my legs, goosebumps pebbling up on my skin.

"The lake! Look at the lake!" I heard Lee Jordan yell, I turned my head, watching the starting whirlpool starting to form in the center of the lake before a large black pole slowly rose from the lake until a whole ship rose, it sailed towards us before dropping an anchor into the lake, then a large plank was set onto the shore. There headmaster walked out first, he was a tall pale man wearing thick Drumstrang uniforms, and had very long goatee

"Dumbledore! How are you, my dear fellow? How are you?" Karkaroff yelled, smiling, even from here I could see his bright yellow teeth. Several large boys walked off the boat after him, gazing around the forest.

"Blooming, thank you, Professor Karkaroff,"

That night after Dumbledore explained the tournament, we were sent off to bed. I was having trouble sleeping, I wanted to go and stop Cedric from entering the tournament, but maybe I shouldn't. These thoughts were racing through my head, Dumbledore had told me not to change any important events but was risking Cedric's life worth it?

I don't know how I managed a couple hours of sleep, but I woke up early that next morning, before the rest of the girls. I got ready for the day very quietly before heading down to the great hall. It was almost empty, there was less than a handful of people at each table. I stared at the goblet, I felt like I could basically see Dumbledore raising the goblet in the air and sentencing Cedric to death.

"What are you doing here?" I heard some say, I looked up seeing Malfoy walking over to me, he set down his bag on the table and sat down next to me. I could feel our shoulders touching, the smell of his cologne surrounded me, he smelled so good I wanted to lean into him, before I realized what I was doing and scooted away, putting my bag between us.

"Nothing. Why are you sitting here? This is the Gryffindor table."

"I know what table this is Charlotte, I'm not an idiot."

"Are you sure about that?" I laughed; Malfoy rolled his eyes.

"There's no one here. Why are you here?" He asked me again.

"I'm waiting for Cedric." I slipped out, I put a hand over my mouth. Fuck.

"Cedric Diggory! Why? Do you have a crush on him?" Malfoy asked, I shook my head.

"What? No! I-just-um- " I said, trying to think of something. I couldn't tell him that I was waiting for Cedric to stop him from entering the tournament.

"You do have a crush on him! How dare you!" Malfoy said, his voice was rising, he almost sounded like he was shouting. His eyes were hard, angry, staring at me like I had kicked him in the gut.

"No!" I said, but Malfoy shook his head.

"You can't have a crush on Diggory!"

"Who are you to tell me who I can and can't have a crush on Malfoy!" I said, shoving an angry finger into his chest.

"I'm-I'm-" He stuttered.

"No one! Exactly! So, I will have a crush on anyone I want, and for your information, it's not Diggory."

"Then who is it?"

"I don't have a crush on anyone. I'm just saying if I did, it would be none of your business."

We were both turning a bright red, I glared at him, but he didn't back down, he crossed his arms over his chest, I could practically see the steam coming out of his ears. I looked away from him, deciding to stare at the goblet instead.

How dare he try to control who I have a crush on. Why would he think he even has a say about this? It's my love life, it's not like he's, my boyfriend. But what if he wanted to be that's why he's so angry?

I shook that last thought out of my head, that was definitely not a possibility. I rested my head against the hard cold wood of the Gryffindor table. I was exhausted, I barely got any sleep last night, and then Malfoy who pissed me, is making me sleepy.

"Look, your boyfriend is here." I heard Malfoy say, my head shot up, my eyes landed on Diggory, he walked to the goblet, his eyes filled with determination, clutching that piece of parchment between his fingers.

"He's not my boyfriend." I snapped, I jumped off the bench and ran towards Diggory.

"Cedric wait!" I shouted, just as he was about to cross the age line. He turned around, shaking his head, his eyebrows drawn together confused.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Um-Don-" I felt a heavy hand on my shoulder, they squeezed my shoulder, almost like he was warning me not to talk.

"It's nothing, Mr. Diggory. Put your name in," Dumbledore said, Diggory stared between me and Dumbledore.

"It's okay, go ahead." I stared at him, I was praying he could see my eyes begging him not too, but he didn't. He turned around, crossed the age line, and entered his name.

"Go enjoy breakfast, Ms. Potter. It's the most important meal of the day you know?" Dumbledore said, he let my shoulder go, I barley turned around before he was already walking to the breakfast table.

"Yes, sir," I muttered, I walked back to the Gryffindor table, feeling like I had failed.

"Looks like you can't say your Loverboy from entering," Malfoy said, he stood up before I could sit down at the Gryffindor table and grabbed his backpack.

"Shut up, Draco,"
