Charlotte-
"Charlotte." Harry and Ron said, they sat down on either side of me. I smacked Ron's hand away as he tried to discreetly take my biscuit.
"Yes?"
"We were wondering if you could um... explain to us how to ask a girl to the Yule Ball," Harry asked, he ran a hand down his neck awkwardly. I laughed under my breath, picking up my glass of orange juice.
"Oh my god, just walk up to her, and say. Hi, I was wondering if you would like to go to the Yule Ball with me. See easy."
"Sounds complicated. Explain again." Ron said, I rolled my eyes sipping my orange juice, I looked at Lavender who sat across from me and grinned putting my glass down.
"Lavender."
"Yeah?"
"Would you like to go to the Yule Ball with me?"
"Oh my Merlin, I would love to." Lavender giggled, pretending to blush and putting a hand over her heart.
"See? Easy." I explained.
"Oh okay, I get it." Said Ron, he tilted his head to the side, scanning the great hall for any potential girls.
"Yeah, yeah, should be easy," Harry nodded to himself, hyping himself up. I wanted to laugh; I was so close to laughing but I pursed my lips. I didn't want to hurt his ego.
"Hey, Charlotte," I heard Ron say, poking me in the arm. I turned my head and nodded.
"What?"
"Would you like to go to?"
"Don't even think about it, Ron," Harry warned, glaring at his best friend, as Lavender and Parvati burst into a fit of laughter. I hid behind my cup of the orange juice, my hair falling in front of my face.
"Oh, come on, how am I supposed to get a date?"
"Not with my sister just because you don't want to stress about finding a date," Harry said, he grabbed Ron by the collar and lifted him on his feet. The two scurried away still arguing about whether or not Ron could take me to the dance or not.
"They will never find dates," Parvati huffed, picking up a muffin.
"Oh, you'd be surprised." I smirked, knowing she was going to be taking Harry to the ball.
"We don't have to worry about them. What we have to worry about is ourselves we need dates," Lavender said, as we finished our breakfast. We talked about possible boys that we think might ask us.
---
"Charlotte." Fred and George said as they plopped down on the couch next to me on the couch, I quickly grabbed my robe before Fred could squash it into the seat and folded it into my lap.
"Yes?"
"Do you have a date? Or do you just like looking extremely depressed?" Fred asked, I scowled at him from the corner of my eye. I threw my robe on the table and snapped at him.
"First of all, I don't have a date. And I do not look depressed."
"You look mad. You need a date."
"I do not look... do you two have dates?" I asked.
"I'm going with Angelina," Fred answered smoothly, he leaned back in his seat next to me, putting his legs on the table, and his hands on the back of his head. I was fighting the urge to poke in the stomach.
"Did you ask her, or are you just telling people that?" He gasped, putting a hand against his heart. I looked over at George, but he just shrugged, smiling at his brother's dramatics.
