Four hugs me against his chest and a sob escapes my mouth. Soothing words flood from his mouth but I don't concentrate on that. I only concentrate on one thing... My parents died, and my brother is now in Florida partying it up. He was spotted associating with one of the most wanted criminals. He may or may not have witnessed my parents death. But most importantly, why is he with Max Smith? Did the brother I've looked up to since little, kill my parents?
"We don't know for sure what's going on. We have to locate him and bring him into custody. From there on we can find the real truth." Four murmurs and rubs my back. I relax against his chest and he kisses my forehead.
"What if he was involved?" I ask in a raspy tone.
"Why would your brother kill your parents?" Four asks softly.
"I-i don't know. I'm just s-so confused now." I stutter.
"Hey it's okay. It's going to be okay." he promises and puts his forehead against mine. He stares deep into my eyes and quirks a smile.
"It'll be fine." he repeats.
"Okay." I whisper."Now. I'm going to order is some pizza. Then were going to watch a marathon of your favorite movies to get your mind off of this." he states and grabs his phone.
"Thank you." I say and he chuckles as he dials a number.
"Zeke, do you mind bringing me a large pizza?" He asks into the phone. 'Zeke' replies and four chuckles.
"Yes.... No. Were going to watch movies...... just bring me the goddamn pizza." He says and hangs up.
"Who's Zeke?" I ask unsurely.
"Uriah's older brother and my best friend." he replies.
"Oh, I think I've heard Uriah tell a few stories about him." I realize and he chuckles.
"Probably. They're the two clowns on our team." he states with an amused look in his eyes. I smile and he grabs the remote off of the side table. He switches the television on and looks at me expectantly.
"What's your favorite movie?" He asks and I blush.
"What?" He asks with confused eyes.
"I've never really been into watching movies." I shrug."You've never seen a movie?" He asks in shock.
"I mean I've seen a few here and there. But not many. I was always busy with school and track, and friends. Plus my parents likes to live their lives without electronics. We had cars and coffee makers, and thing alike that. But nothing that wasn't needed." I defend. He quirks a smile and I raise my eyebrows.
"In other words they didn't like to indulge on things they didn't need." he says and my eyebrows shoot up.
"How'd you know that?" I ask curiously.
"My parents were like that when I was younger." he replies and I smile.
"Really?" I ask and he nods in reply.
"I'll put on a movie I know you'll like." he says and clicks a few buttons. The doorbell rings and I stand up."I'll get it." I say and go to the door. When I open it I see Uriah's look alike and my eyes widen in shock.
"Oh my god." I say and poke his chest. He chuckles and gives me a goofy smile.
"I'm Zeke, as you can see. You must be Tris, I've heard a lot about you." he smiles.
"From four?" I ask with raised eyebrows.
"And Uriah. More from four though." he chuckles humorlessly.
"You're good for him." he adds quietly and his eyes flicker behind me. I twist my head to see four changing the channel then turn back to Zeke.
"How so?" I whisper back.
"He doesn't open up to many people. Especially in such little time. It took him nearly five years to open up to me and Uri. I think you're the lucky girl that he's going to be with for the rest of his life." he admits. My heart beat picks up at his words and I smile. Warm arms wrap around my waist and four rests his chin against my shoulder.
"Here." he says and hands Zeke a ten dollar bill. He takes the pizza from him then sets it on the counter.
"I'll see you guys later. A double date with me and Shauna is long over due." Zeke says then leave. Four looks at me and grabs two plate out of the cabinets.
"What did he say to you?" He asks curiously.
"Nothing, just small talk." I lie. He shrugs it off and leads me back to the living room.
