"A Ferris wheel?" I ask unsurely.
"Yea. You don't like it?" four asks and gets out of the car. He jogs to my door before I can open it. He helps me out and i frown in confusion."It's not that I don't like it. Its just that... Right now you're screaming murderer." I tease. l hesitantly look around and then look back at four. The Ferris wheel is abandoned, and no ones around. Its in the middle of a huge field. Four chuckles and begins tugging me towards it.
"I'm not a murderer. You'll like it i promise." he says.
"We're climbing it?" I ask curiously.
"That we are." he replies and points towards the ladder.
"Ladies first." he says and I roll my eyes as I put my foot on the first ring.
-----------
We get to the top of the Ferris wheel and four helps me into the top cart. He sits across from me and smiles. There's a picnic basket in between us and plaid blankets."Wait until the sun sets. Then you'll love it." he says and opens the basket. He hands me a sandwich and I smile back.
"Someone had this all planned out." I tease and take a bite.
"The best for you love." he teases back. I blush and lean back in my seat. He stares at me and my eyes travel to his neck.
"What's your tattoo of?" I ask when I realize a tattoo is peaking out from under his shirt. I've noticed it before, but I never got the chance to see it or ask him about it. He pauses and stands up.
"Wanna see it?" He asks.
"Sure." I whisper and he tugs his shirt over his head. He turns around so I can see it and I smile. His whole back is taken over by five different symbols.Abnegation.
Dauntless.
Erudite.
Candor.
And, Amity.
The signs of all the different FBI headquarters."This is so cool." I gasp and run my fingers over them. He visibly stiffens and I drop my hand.
"Why'd you get it?" I ask curiously. He pushes his shirt back over his head and turns back around. I see the pained expression in his eyes.
"Remember when I said that Marcus use to abuse me as a kid?" He asks and links our hands together.
"Yea?" I ask with furrowed eyebrows.
"I had... Scars on my back. I wanted to get them covered up. And I thought 'what's a better way to show my appreciation to the people who saved me'." he says with a nonchalant shrug.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't realize the extent." I whisper in shock.
"It's fine." he murmurs and I wrap my arms around his waist. He wraps his arms around me and I hug him.
"Look." he says and gently turns me around so I'm standing at his side. He keeps one arm wrapped around my waist and I look at the view. The sky is a mixture of purples and oranges.
"It's beautiful." I whisper.
"Not as beautiful as you." he murmurs mostly to himself. I blush and look up at him, to see that he's staring at me. My heart beat speeds up and he grips my waist with both hands. He gently pulls me against him and leans down. It all happens in slow motion. Just like the movies when they want to make everything dramatic. His lips press against mine and I freeze up. I takes me a few seconds to comprehend what's happening. But I kiss back and wrap my arms around his neck. When we pull away he looks down at me and I blush a bright red. He stares at me and leans down to kiss me again."I-i don't want to go to fast." I stutter and he smiles.
"That's fine. I like slow, i still have the floor bed." he murmurs and I rest my head against his chest with a smile. He rubs my back and moves us so we're sitting next to each other.
"Can I ask you something?" I asks unsurely.
"Of course." He answers confidently.
"What happened to your mom?" I whisper and look up at him."She died when I was young... I never really got to say goodbye. My dad buried her and packed everything up. that's when we moved to New York for the summer." he answers with a sad expression
"Im sorry. I probably shouldn't have asked that at this moment." I admit.
"It's fine. I know almost all the little details in your life. Its only fair that you know mine." he chuckles. I smile at him and look back towards the sunset.
