I stand in the middle of huge room. It's almost like a warehouse. But it's underground, the walls are all made out of rock. Im currently in the dauntless fbi building.

I had to choose between five different headquarters.

Candor, the ones that administrate the lie detector tests. I didn't want to go their because it's in Pennsylvania, it's too close to my hometown.

Abnegation, which is where my parents worked at in Chicago. That would hurt too much. I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about them.

Amity, they work out of upstate New York. That was still too close to Chicago. Plus they deal with keeping the prisoners under lock and key. It sounded boring, with no action. If I do pass this training course I want to doing something, on the field.

Then there was erudite, I was told that's where my dad use to work when he first joined the FBI. They deal with computers, hacking, and coming up with new types of software slash weapons. They work out of Miami.

I was going to pick erudite until I heard about dauntless. They're on the west coast and are underground. They stay hidden, until they're needed at crime scenes or to do missions. They're more hands on than any of the other units.

So here I am, in a line of teenagers with two instructors staring us down. Their eyes take us in like they're trying to evaluate our strengths and weaknesses. It's nerve wrecking.

"My name is Eric. I will be helping Four out with your training sessions." a guy with two lip piercings and an eyebrow piercing states.

"I'm four, your head instructor. I will push your body and mind to the limit. You'll be faced with your worst fears. A good agent needs to be fearless. When you get to a crime scene or get thrown into a complicated situation, you can't chicken out and run away with your tail between your legs." He says sharply. His eyes scan everyone and stop at me for a few seconds.

"What kind of name is Four? Were one through three taken?" A girl laughs out. She has short brown hair and has a friendly vibe to her. Four stiffens and walks towards her until his face is leveled with hers. Her head bends backwards to look him in the eyes.

"The first thing you'll learn from me is to keep your mouth shut. Got it?" He growls out. She quickly looks away with a scared look and he takes a step back with an emotionless gaze.

"Let me show you around." he adds and motions for everyone to follow him. Christina comes to my side and rolls her eyes.

"Well he's an ass." she whispers.
"You made fun of his name." I reply with raised eyebrows.
"Still." she replies.

We enter another huge room. There's a few dozen lunch tables, and against the walls are buffet style tables.

"This is the cafeteria. Everyone get what you want. In half an hour I'll show you the rest of the compound." Four calls. Everyone rushes to get food and I follow Chris into line. I get a salad with an apple then get out of line.

"Where do you want to sit?" She asks.
"Should we sit there?" I ask and motion to the only two empty seats. She nods and I slowly sit down. Four is directly to my right.

"I'm Will," a guy says and sticks his hand over the table. I awkwardly shake it. He has light green eyes and brown hair. He looks nice.

"Tris." I reply.
"I'm Christina." Chris says with a smile.
"It's nice to meet you guys." he states.
"You too." Me and Chris reply in sync.

"Im four as you know. Now that we're done with introductions, shut up and eat. We don't have time to make friends." Four replies from besides me. I turn to look at him and he continues staring straight ahead with an emotionless face.

"You seem nice." i mutter under my breath.
"I'm sorry?" He asks and snaps his head my way.

"I said, you seem nice. It's called sarcasm." i reply sharply. His eyes narrow and Eric taps on his shoulder.

"You my dear, are looking for a death wish." Al says from next to Will.
